In the title complex, [Co(C15H6ClO4)2(H2O)4]·2H2O, the CoIIion is bound by two carboxylate O atoms of two 5-chloro-9,10-anthraquinone-1-carboxylate anions and four water O atoms in atransconformation, forming an irregular octahedral coordination geometry. This arrangement is stabilized by intramolecular O—H...O hydrogen bonds between water and carboxylate. Further O—H...O hydrogen bonds between coordinating and non-coordinating water and carboxylate produce layers of molecules that extend parallel to (001). The organic ligands project above and below the plane. Those ligands of adjacent planes are interdigitated and there are π–π interactions between them with centroid–centroid distances of 3.552 (2) and 3.767 (2) Å that generate a three-dimensional supramolecular structure.

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, 3C10H8N2·2C7H7NO2, consists of three molecules of 4,4′-bipyridine (bpy) and two molecules of 3-aminobenzoic acid (bza). Two molecules of bza and two molecules of bpy are connectedviaO—H...N, N—H...N and N—H...O hydrogen bonds, forming forming infinite double-stranded zigzag chains along thecaxis. The third molecule of bpy is linked to the chain by weak C—H...O interactions. Adjacent chains are linked via π–π interactions [centroid–centroid distances = 3.759 (3)–3.928 (3) Å] involving the pyridine rings of bpy molecules, resulting in a sheet-like structure parallel to (100). These sheets are stackedviaC—H...π interactions, resulting finally in the formation of a three-dimensional supramolecular structure.

In the title compound, C17H15NO4(alternative name;O-benzyl-L-tyrosineN-carboxy anhydride), the oxazolidine ring is planer, with an r.m.s. deviation of 0.039 Å. The benzyloxy and benzyl rings are almost coplanar, making a dihedral angle of 0.078 (10)°, and are inclined to the oxazolidine ring by 59.16 (11) and 58.42 (11)°, respectively. In the crystal, molecules are linked by N—H...O and C—H...O hydrogen bonds, forming ribbons propagating along [010]. The ribbons are linked by C—H...π interactions, forming a three-dimensional supramolecular structure. The oxazolidine rings of adjacent ribbons are arranged into a layer parallel to theabplane. This arrangement is favourable for the polymerization of the compound in the solid state.

The title salt, [FeII(C4H3ClN2)2(H2O)4](C7H7O3S)2, contains a complex cation with point group symmetry 2/m. The high-spin FeIIcation is hexacoordinated by four symmetry-related water and twoN-bound 2-chloropyrazine molecules in atransarrangement, forming a distorted FeN2O4octahedron. The three-dimensional supramolecular structure is supported by intermolecular O—H...O hydrogen bonds between the complex cations and tosylate anions, and additional π–π interactions between benzene and pyrazine rings. The methyl H atoms of the tosylate anion are equally disordered over two positions.

The derivatives 5,7-dimethyl[1,3,4]thiadiazolo[3,2-a]pyrimidin-4-ium-2-thiolate (1) and 7-methyl-5-phenyl[1,3,4]thiadiazolo[3,2-a]pyrimidin-4-ium-2-thiolate (2) were fully characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Their supramolecular structure is built through both π–π stacking and C=S–π interactions for both compounds. The embedment of the tested compounds into Fe3O4@C18 core-shell nanocoatings increased the protection degree against Candida albicans biofilms on the catheter surface, suggesting that these bioactive nanocoatings could be further developed as non-cytotoxic strategies for fighting biofilm-associated fungal infections.

The title compound, C25H24ClN3, comprises a 2-iminopyridine ring fused with a cyclooctane ring, which adopts a twist boat–chair conformation. In the crystal, C—H...N interactions formR22(14) ring motifs and molecules are further connected by weak C—H...π interactions. The resulting supramolecular structure is a two-dimensional framework parallel to theabplane.

In the title compound, {[Cu(C14H8O5)(C14H8N4)]·H2O} n , the CuII atom adopts a distorted cis-CuN2O2 square-planar coordination geometry. 4,4′-Oxydibenzoate (L) ligands link the CuII atoms, generating a helical chain. Neighbouring chains are linked through π–π interactions between pyrazino[2,3-f][1,10]phenanthroline ligands with a centroid–centroid distance of ca 3.44 Å, resulting in a two-dimensional supramolecular structure. The structure is completed by O—H...O hydrogen bonds.
