The purposes of this study are: (1) examine the impact of organizationalcommitment to job performance of faculty member in Surakarta; (2) examine the impact of Islamic work ethic to job performance; and (3) examine the moderation role of institutional-base on the impact of Islamic work ethic to job performance. The results show that organizational commitment and Islamic work ethic had significance effect to job performance, but institutional-based had no moderating role in the effect of Islamic work ethic to job performance

Purpose In line with the general purpose mentioned, this paper aims to determine the impact of the Islamic work ethic (IWE) on job satisfaction and organizational commitment among the employees of Bank Maskan by examining the mediating role of intrinsic motivation. Design/methodology/approach Analysis of data obtained from 220 questionnaires related to research variables with AMOS software shows a positive and significant relationship between IWE and job satisfaction and organizational commitment with the mediating role of intrinsic motivation. Findings The findings revealed a direct effect of IWE on job satisfaction, but there was no direct significant relationship between this variable and organizational commitment. Also, intrinsic motivation plays a partial and completely mediatory role in the relationship between IWE and job satisfaction and between IWE and organizational commitment. Research limitations/implications The impact of participation in strategic planning on managers’ creation of budgetary slack: The mediating role of autonomous motivation and affective organizational commitment. Originality/value As the nature of bank employees’ work is such that it confronts them with numerous ethical choices, the adherence to ethical standards, particularly IWE, can greatly affect their enthusiasm and, as a result, their satisfaction and organizational commitment.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of Islamic work ethics on job satisfaction, turnover intentions and organizational commitment and its three dimensions: affective commitment, continuance commitment and normative commitment. This method of analysis used a simple regression to determine the relationship of independent variables and dependent variables. The analysis used descriptive analysis to present the main characteristic of the samples. Islamic work ethic used instrument developed by Ali, job satisfaction was measured by Dubinsky and Harley’s instruments, organizational commitment used instrument by Bozeman, Perrine, Meyer and the turnover intentions adapted by previous research, Home and Griffith. The collected data was tabulated and analyzed using softwareStatistical Pakage for the Social Sciences (SPSS)16.0. This research selects 10 Islamic microfinances in Pekalongan city.  Results show that Islamic Work Ethic is positive significant related to job satisfaction, affective commitment, continuance commitment, normative commitment, and negative influence related to turnover intention variable. From this research, the application of Islamic Work Ethics was a solution to job satisfaction and organizational commitment and less contributes to turnover intention.

This study aims to identify and analyze the role of Islamic Work Ethic and locus of control in improving job satisfaction both directly and indirectly. The study population is 607 Muslim Civil Servants (PNS) and working in regional work units (SKPD) North Buton Regency. The sample that obtained for this study are 124 civil servants (PNS). Sampling was done by using a proportional (proportionate random sampling), in each instances, with 8% of precision rate. The data collection method was a customized questionnaire survey method based on Likert scale 1-5. The analysis tool used is Partial Least Square (PLS) with hypothesis testing process used software application program Smart PLS 3.0.The results showed that the Islamic Work Ethic and Locus Of Control has a positive and significant influence either directly or indirectly on Job Satisfaction, thus concluded that the Islamic work ethics and locus of control proved to increase employee satisfaction in work units (SKPD) , North Buton Regency. The practical contribution of this research is to provide information to the Civil Servants (PNS) and Local Government in order to always improve understanding and programs related to the increase in work attitudes Civil Servants (PNS), especially in the scope of work units (SKPD). While theoretically this study contribute to the development of different models of measurement variables from previous studies, in which the role of the Islamic Work Ethic variables and Locus of Control as exogenous variables are reflective, while job satisfaction variables as endogenous variables are formative. Further limitations and suggestions discussed in the research. Keywords: Islamic Work Ethic, Locus of Control, Job Satisfaction.
