<p><em>This study aims to determine the effect of the antecedents of Supply chain quality risk management (SCQRM) implementation on organizational performance with the moderating role of organizational culture in the Indonesian Navy. Based on data from questionnaire survey data totaling 260 Indonesian Navy officers, the SCQRM theory model is proposed and the structural equation model is used to test the proposed hypothesis. The results show that strategic leadership, information, and control mechanisms are significant antecedents of SCQRM implementation. Furthermore, strategic leadership and information significantly contribute to organizational performance. An interesting finding is that control mechanisms do not have a direct impact on organizational performance, but they do contribute indirectly to organizational performance mediated by SCQRM implementation. Also, SCQRM implementation significantly contributes to organizational performance and the moderating effect of organizational culture strengthens the relationship between SCQRM implementation and organizational performance. This study focuses on the concept and implementation of SCQRM in Indonesian Navy logistics with the role of strategic leadership, information, control mechanisms, and organizational culture to improve organizational performance using single respondents and expert perceptions, namely Indonesian Navy Officers. The managerial implications suggest that complementary benefits arise from the adoption of a more holistic approach to the management of supply chain quality risk at the organizational level with</em><em> </em><em>supported the role of strategic leadership, information, control mechanisms, and organizational culture will improve organizational performance. Three contributions to science in the development of SCQRM theory. <strong>First</strong>, this study develops an SCQRM theoretical model with three unique dimensions (supplier development, risk management integration, and proactive product recall). <strong>Second</strong>, this study provides a new perfection of how the complementarity system of SCQRM is operated to improve organizational performance. Moreover, the findings imply that a successful SCQRM implementation is built on a complementarity power in risk management resources and routines. The multiple manifestations of the three SCQRM dimensions are all driven by a cohesive, yet unobserved synergy, which also forms one of the competencies of the organization. <strong>Third</strong>, this study also provides a new perfection on the role of strategic leadership, information and control mechanisms as antecedents of SCQRM implementation, and the moderating role of organizational culture that strengthens the relationship between SCQRM implementation and organizational performance</em><em>.   </em><strong></strong></p>

The relationship between organizational culture (OC) and corporate performance was commonly studied and reflected in the literature in the last few years. However, the relationship between OC and business excellence is rarely tackled. In this context, this research examined the relationship between four OC types and organizational excellence and the role of information communication technology (ICT) as a moderator. A quantitative study was conducted, and the data were collected using a survey questionnaire distributed to middle managers in one of the gold winners of a United Arab Emirates-based business excellence award. The results showed that there is a positive relationship between organizational culture components and business excellence in general. A mission culture has the most significant relationship, in contrast, the adaptability culture had no positive relationship. Also, the moderating role of ICT was proven. The results of this research can be utilized by managers to build the OC type that boost excellence within their organizations.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to discover the impact of different dimensions of organizational culture (mission culture, adaptability culture, involvement culture and consistency culture) on business excellence results criteria (customer results, people results, society results and business results) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and explore the moderating role of information and communication technology (ICT) use in both service and manufacturing industries.Design/methodology/approachData were collected by questionnaire from 448 managers in nine companies that have won the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award in the last three years. Structural equation modeling was used to examine the data.FindingsOrganizational culture is significantly related to business excellence. However, these effects varied for different business excellence criteria. Three organizational culture types had a significant positive role in achieving excellent customer-related results. All four types of organizational culture had a positive role in achieving excellent people-related results. Only two culture types had significant role in achieving excellent society-related results. Business results were positively related to a balance between the four types of organizational culture. ICT use moderated the relationship between organizational culture and results related to customers, people and business, but not society.Research limitations/implicationsThis study had some conceptual limitations. In particular, it considered the organizational culture as four types in the research model, but without structuring the indices under each type. It also had some methodological limitations. It was cross-sectional and used a self-administered questionnaire, which means that no causal relationships can be implied, and there may have been some bias in responding.Originality/valueThis is one of the first studies that investigate the relationship between organizational culture and business excellence in UAE excellence award-winning companies.


This chapter aims to share and discuss the data analysis results and relate them to previous studies. Some tentative proposals and arguments are put forward. The discussion is split into five sections. The first section covers the relationship between organizational culture types and customer results, the second the relationship between culture types and people results, the third society results, the fourth business results, and the final section the moderating role of ICT use on the relationships between organizational culture types and each business excellence criterion.

Employee job satisfaction has been widely acknowledged as one of the most important factors in the performance and productivity of the employees working in an organization. There are certain factors that contribute towards the job satisfaction of the employee’s and one such widely renowned factor is the training of the employees. The relationship between job satisfaction and the training of employees is further moderated by the organizational culture. This study analyzed the impacts of employees training on the level of their job satisfaction under the moderating effects of the organizational culture. Three different dimensions of satisfaction i.e. satisfaction with Pay, work itself and interpersonal relationship was analyzed in the study. Primary data was collected from as ample of 200 employees from different banks operating in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, T-test and regression analysis techniques. The results of the study presented that Hierarchy and Adhocracy culture are the two most dominant cultures prevailing in the banking sector of Pakistan. The results further present that training has significant association with the level of job satisfaction of the employees with their, pay, work itself and interpersonal relationship. The results further established the moderating role of Adhocracy and Hierarchy Culture in determining the relationship between Training and job satisfaction of the employees.

Introduction. Pursue of an effective monetary policy by commercial organizations should be based, among others, on the organizations' characteristics that affect their staff's assessment of the role of money in their lives. The aim of the study: to investigate the relationship between psychological and organizational-functional characteristics of commercial organizations and staff assessment of the role of money in their lives. Research methods. L.M. Karamushka and O.I. Parshak's «My Attitude towards Money», R.B. Shaw's «Understanding the Company's Goals» and «Manifestation of Concern by Management», D. Cole's «Inclination to the Type of Organizational Culture» (supplemented and modified by T.Yu. Bazarov and P.V. Malinovsky). Research results. The results of the study have showed statistically significant relationships, both positive and negative, between the commercial organizations psychological characteristics (staff understanding of the goals of the organization, organization managements concern for staff, and organizational culture type) and organizational-functional characteristics (number of people in the organization, organizations age ) and some indicators of staff assessment of the role of money in their lives. The strongest relationship has been found between the type of organizational culture and staff assessment of the role of money in their lives. Conclusions. The findings can be helpful in determining the organizational and psychological conditions of and improving monetary policy of commercial organizations as well as for in staff psychological counseling.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to clarify the role of organizational culture and rewards in stimulating the sharing and gaining of knowledge. Design/methodology/approach – Hierarchical regression using survey data. Findings – The analyses show that rewards and organizational culture of knowledge transfer influence the knowledge shared and knowledge gained. Moreover, culture and rewards interact to influence knowledge gained, but not knowledge shared which leads to the conclusion knowledge gaining can be induced by rewards, even in the absence of a supportive culture. Research limitations/implications – The findings are consistent with socio-technical theory (STT) and the discussion positions this perspective as useful for future knowledge management studies. This research confirms that knowledge sharing and gaining are uniquely different activities that respond differently to culture and rewards. Originality/value – This study combines the work of different fields by focusing on knowledge sharing and gaining in a single study. Through this process, a bridge between organizational learning theory and STT is revealed.
