Foreign direct investments present a valuable source of national competitiveness as they have attributes of capital flows provide knowledge and technology transfer from one country to target country. In this paper are used variables defined by World Economic Forum which construct Global Competitiveness Index for assessing competitiveness of the country. The purpose of the research is to examine does the national competitiveness increase enhance the level of FDI flows in transition Western Balkan economies that are not yet full members of European Union. The findings claim that larger increase in FDI per capita stocks in majority analyzed countries would have if making infrastructure more competitiveness, accelerate their technological readiness and improve innovation while certain countries should work on health and primary education and higher education and training. According to the results, there is no correlation between FDI flows and macroeconomic environment, institutions, development of financial markets, good market efficiency, labor market efficiency and business sophistication. Applying benchmark method, it is established the most competitive WB country as benchmark value for other transition countries in its neighborhood for enhancing their competitiveness, specially in the regional market. Also, it is obtained what if analysis to detect potential rise of FDI per capita stocks as a consequence of potential changes in some competitiveness variables. It is also calculated the potential increase in FDI/capita due to similar changes in different competitiveness variables.

Resolution of ethno-political conflicts in the Caucasus by political means is in a “deadlock”, and peaceful economic projects in conflict zones face political obstacles. The economic isolation of states and the fragmentation of the regional market impede the development of countries, and the resolution of conflicts is hampered by opposing strategic political vectors of regional states, that negatively affect their economic growth. In this context, the article states that when political tools are not sufficient for integration, economic and social goals should be rationalized for the purpose of cohabitation and coexistence of people of different ethnic groups and cultures in the region. In the article, the author attempts to investigate the role of economic and social events as factors for mitigating ethnopolitical conflicts; determines how the economization of conflicts can affect the integration processes and strategies of Georgia in relation to the breakaway republics.

The method proposed in this paper allows us to determine the most promising areas of regional development within the framework of The national technology initiative (NTI) concept, taking into account the region's industry specialization. According to this method, the priority NTI markets for the Vladimir region were evaluated, and a map of the innovation ecosystem was compiled for the TechNet market, which received the highest points in the evaluation. The map shows the main stakeholders of the regional market “TechNet”, such as key enterprises in this area; educational organizations that train qualified specialists in this field; regional executive authorities responsible for legal regulation of innovation activities in the region, etc.

The article is devoted to the study of the communicative aspect of advertising technologies. The authors point out the need to study it in order to improve the effectiveness of advertising impact on the consumer in the field of installation services of fire alarm and video surveillance. Determination of effectiveness has led to reflection of criteria and indicators of advertising impact on the consumer and the choice of the most effective forms of work in the current conditions of the regional market. To ensure the validity of their assumptions, the researchers made an attempt to test the main provisions of the work in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), thereby confirming the results obtained.
