AbstractThere are a number of scales intended to measure workplace attitudes toward people with disabilities. However, there is limited demonstration of validity evidence, especially theoretical validity. This article reports on the development of the Co-Worker Acceptance of Disabled Employees (CADE) Scale, including an examination of theoretical and empirical validity evidences. Theoretical validity is supported by screening each scale item through the difference model of disability. Empirical validity evidence is generated through a content validity study and an initial validity study. Exploratory factor analysis reveals that workplace attitudes toward employees with disabilities are based on perceived differences between those with disabilities and others. The CADE Scale will support workplace training and provide evidence of attitude change subsequent to workplace disability-related interventions.

Employment among people with disabilities remains debatable. This paper investigates employers' points of view towards accepting technological assistance for employees with disabilities at the workplace. Specifically, this paper examines the effects of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use on acceptance towards Office Assistance Application among employers to disabled employees. Acceptance towards any technology has been broadly tested using Davis' Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). To prove if that is the case or not for Office Assistance Applications within the context of employers to employees with disabilities, this research was undertaken to affirm the past research. Data was collected via online questionnaires from 35 employers to Micro Enterprises organization. 6 of surveyed employers were current employers to disabled workers, 18 employers affirmed interest to employ PWDs in the future with 9 employers asserted no interest to hire disabled workers. Data was analysed using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The result showed two hypotheses were supported evidencing positive and significant relationship between perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness, and relationship between perceived usefulness and technology acceptance. Findings are useful for employers to improve functions of their disabled workers at the workplace along with increasing employment prospects for people with disabilities.

AbstractVocational rehabilitation provides guidance and support to individuals with disabilities entering the workforce. Employment plans include considerations of goals, the job market, and pre-existing or trainable skills on the part of job seekers. This process also includes an understanding of the social forces that affect employment goals. Current models of disability include the medical, social, and embodiment models. Each is cognitively based and assumes an element of responsibility or blame, that is, respectively, focused on the individual with a disability, the community, or a combination of these two factors. The difference model of disability offers an alternative understanding of disability by providing an affect-based framework that eliminates the premise of blame. This conceptualization of disability provides a new approach to vocational rehabilitation.

in this paper, the author used method of Two-dimensional finite difference to establish a model of temperature in hot rolled steels in finishing stands, and used explicit difference method to solve the difference model. The model was optimized by correct parameters through particle swarm optimization combining with measure data. It has been verified that the deviation of the models prediction and real data keeps between ±10°C.

This paper presents a case study regarding the professional qualification training for a group of disabled employees newly hired by a company that manufactures automotive parts. These employees receive exclusive training to work on the companys plant floor. This research was limited to PCP (Planning and Production Control) classes, where was used the courseware, teaching methodology and student-employee assessment outlined in the structure of Product Development Process oriented for Assistive Technology. The main challenge was planning the training for a group of students that present physical, mental, visual or hearing disabilities. The research objective is to present the research conducted in the class and the possibility of development of teaching methods and materials that reach the cognition level of students with disabilities in the PCP subject, making them aware of the necessity of teamwork and consequently enabling them to perform their function as well as raise awareness for searching improvements in the work environment and alternatives communication with their coworkers. At the end, it is discussed the results presenting the strengths and difficulties found during the research in the professional qualification training classes.

The background of this research was merger and acquisition wave frequently in higher research and development needed and new technology implemented companies related in chemical create
lower financial performance after merger and acquisition. The objective of this research was to test the significance of the difference between the efficiency financial performance before and
after merger and acquisition. The design of this research applied purposive random sampling, quantitative method two means difference model, and statistic software SPSS for problem solving.
Data analysis applied measuring return on capital employed. The result of research indicated that merger and acquisition activities can not improved efficiency of emittens or ROCE ratio in all emittens were getting worse after merger and acquisition
