A metal–organic framework based on 4-carboxypyrazole ligands has been synthesized, and it shows unusual chemical stability and high storage capacity for C2 light hydrocarbons.

A pillared-layer metal–organic framework was successfully synthesized, which shows high storage capacity for C2 light hydrocarbons and good adsorption selectivity for C3/C1 and C2/C1 at room temperature.

We report an rht-type metal–organic framework (MOF) which exhibits a high adsorption capacity for C2 hydrocarbons and excellent selectivity over CH4. This MOF displays the highest reported C2H2–CH4 selectivity of 127.1 as well as a record high value for C2H4 adsorption enthalpy (49.5 kJ mol−1).
