Thin heteroepitaxial layers of RuO2 were formed on the TiO2 surface of Au nanoparticle-loaded rutile TiO2, and this three-component nanohybrid exhibits a high photocatalytic activity for hydrogen peroxide generation from water and oxygen.

Biphasic TiO2 with adjustable crystalline phases was prepared by the hydrothermal-calcination method assisted by nitric acid (HNO3) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), using potassium titanate oxalate (K2TiO(C2O4)2) as the titanium source.

Phthalocyanine coated crosslinked electrospun PVA/PAA nanofibers were prepared via electrospinning and esterification reaction. The structure of the as-prepared hybrid nanofibers were characterized by fourier transform infrared spectra, scan electron microscopy and UV–visiable absorption spectroscopy. Their photocatalytic activities were evaluated by the degradation of rhodamine B under visible light, and results showed that it exhibited high activity for degradation of rhodamine B in the presence of hydrogen peroxide. The recycling test was also carried out to prove its reusability in photocatalytic application

Magnetically separable copper phthalocyanine/Fe3O4(CuPc/Fe3O4) core–shell nano- composites were prepared by an organic-inorganic complexation technique, which could effectively catalyze photodegradation of the model pollutant methylene blue (MB), using hydrogen peroxide as oxidant under visible light irradiation. Moreover, the as-prepared functional nanocomposites could be easily separated from the photodegradation system by using an external magnetic field, which still kept high photocatalytic activity after 5 time’s continual utilization.
