This paper presents a zinc-ion battery that can be recharged directly by light without the need for a solar cell, which offers a new approach to balancing the unpredictable energy surpluses and deficits associated with solar energy.

Perovskites have recently attracted interest in the field of solar energy due to their excellent photovoltaic properties. We herein present a new approach to the composition of lead free perovskites via mixing of halide and oxide perovskites that share the cubic ABX3 structure. Using first-principles calculations through Density Functional Theory, we systematically investigated the atomic and electronic structures of mixed perovskite compounds composed of four cubic ABX3 perovskites. Our result shows that the B and X atoms play important roles in their band structure. On the other hand, their valence bands contributed by O-2p, Rh-4p, and Ti-3p orbitals, and their electronic properties were determined by Rh-O and Ti-O bonds. With new understandings of the electronic properties of cubic halide or oxide perovskites, we lastly combined the cubic perovskites in various configurations to improve stability and tune the bandgap to values desirable for photovoltaic cell applications. Our investigations suggest that the mixed perovskite compound Cs2Sn2Cl3I3Sr2TiRhO6 produced a bandgap of 1.2 eV, which falls into the ideal range of 1.0 to 1.7 eV, indicating high photo-conversion efficiency and showing promise towards solar energy applications.

<span>Solar energy is one of the most promising renewable sources that is currently being used worldwide to contribute for meeting rising demands. In this paper solar irradiance measurement will experimentally carried out in two different regions in Egypt; Cairo and Luxor cities. This paper proposes a simple solar lux measurement using a light dependent resistor (LDR) with an arduino kit. This technique is based on two approaches which are coarse and fine maximum sun lux determination. This is based on the predetermined 26<sup>0</sup> vertical slop of the LDR. Coarse tuning determines one of the reach sun lux quarter (90<sup>0</sup>) of horizontal quad. The fine tuning allocates the optimized 10<sup>0</sup> in which; the maximum sun lux can be obtained. The optimal values of sun lux were found between the (90<sup>o</sup>–180<sup>o</sup>) quarter. This study confirms that the narrow ten degrees (95<sup>o</sup>-105<sup>o</sup>) are the optimized static sun lux extraction for the two site field measurements. This novel technique can be used for locating the angle of best installations for the solar cell at which maximum solar energy can be extracted. </span>

This article aim to be able to take advantage of an electric motor as a net puller on a fishing boat using solar energy. The use of human labor as a net puller requires a large amount of energy and needs a break to be able to do more withdrawal activities, so the number of withdrawals that can be done is very limited. Pantai Jaya fishing groups as partners are among the 20 active fishing groups in the Pasie Nan Tigo sub-district of Koto Tangah subdistrict of Padang City who experience these problems. The problem of this partner can be given a solution in the form of the use of an electric motor as a towing net on a fishing boat. In order not to cause problems in terms of electricity supply, solar energy can be used by using solar cells, so there is no addition of fuel oil. The implementation method given is direct installation and provision of extension materials on the use of solar cell technology and the introduction of components and hand tools. This activity was carried out for two days which included preparation, installation and training, followed by a group of fishermen. The fishing group received a set of solar cells, electric motors, batteries and other accessories and installed them. Based on tests that have been carried out in sunny weather conditions at 300C, a load of 50 kg with a rated voltage at that time 12.4V, motor speed 2.7m / min, 2.4A. Based on the results of these tests indicate that the solar cell system has worked according to the parameters it should. Therefore, it can be said that this activity has been carried out properly and the solar cell system is functioning properly. Participants hope for these activities to be carried out for the following year, because there are still a number of fishing boat groups that are in dire need.

Currently, the world has a lot of research and practical application of intelligent building systems integrated with intelligent power systems. Because Vietnam is a country with potential for solar energy, the integrator of solar energy is being strongly developed. However, the research result of the optimization of electrical energy used by the intelligent type solar integration is rare. This paper presents the design and structure of the module of intelligent control and monitoring via wireless network integrated with the automatic solar concentration system. The system allows easy connection and operation of all electrical power sources including the dispersal solar power to ensure the efficient and lower power consumption. In addition, the solar cell system is applied the Maximum Power Point Tracking technique (MPPT), which helps to stabilize and improve the power generation efficiency of the PV panels. The test results on the module showed absorption performance of automatic solar-cell flat plate systems is raised by 20-30% and power consumption in small households reduced approximately 30%.

The world is increasingly experiencing a great need for additional power resources so as to reduce dependency on conventional sources, and solar energy could be an answer to that need. However, the performance of solar energy depends on solar radiation, ambient temperature, and load impedance. A practical engineering mathematic model of solar cell is developed and a general simulation model of PV cell is created based on Simulink system, which is convenient to be applied to the research and development of solar cell.
