AbstractThis review of how dolphins are portrayed in popular media (including literature, film, television, and music) reveals four themes that may influence public acceptance of current scientific research into dolphin cognition. These themes are: (a) dolphin as peer to humans, of equal intelligence or at least capable of communicating with or helping humans; (b) the dolphin as the representation of a romantic notion of ideal freedom in nature, embodying principles of peace, harmony or love; (c) the dolphin as a naïve, innocent being that is subordinate and in need of human protection; and (d) the dolphin as superior to humans, potentially affiliating with a higher power or intelligence. This review revealed that the use of dolphins in humor reinforced or lampooned the four identified themes, indicating a common acceptance of these themes. The paper concludes with a discussion of the importance of considering popular narratives in the presentation of scientific research results.

A review, in subjective choice, of author?s scientific results in area of: classical mechanics, analytical mechanics of discrete hereditary systems, analytical mechanics of discrete fractional order system vibrations, elastodynamics, nonlinear dynamics and hybrid system dynamics is presented. Main original author?s results were presented through the mathematical methods of mechanics with examples of applications for solving problems of mechanical real system dynamics abstracted to the theoretical models of mechanical discrete or continuum systems, as well as hybrid systems. Paper, also, presents serries of methods and scientific results authored by professors Mitropolyski, Andjelic and Raskovic, as well as author?s of this paper original scientific research results obtained by methods of her professors. Vector method based on mass inertia moment vectors and corresponding deviational vector components for pole and oriented axis, defined in 1991 by K. Hedrih, is presented. Results in construction of analytical dynamics of hereditary discrete system obtained in collaboration with O. A. Gorosho are presented. Also, some selections of results author?s postgraduate students and doctorantes in area of nonlinear dynamics are presented. A list of scientific projects headed by author of this paper is presented with a list of doctoral dissertation and magister of sciences thesis which contain scientific research results obtained under the supervision by author of this paper or their fist doctoral candidates.

Facial recognition is integral and essential in todays society, and the recognition of emotions based on facial expressions is already becoming more usual. This paper analytically provides an overview of the databases of video data of facial expressions and several approaches to recognizing emotions by facial expressions by including the three main image analysis stages, which are pre-processing, feature extraction, and classification. The paper presents approaches based on deep learning using deep neural networks and traditional means to recognizing human emotions based on visual facial features. The current results of some existing algorithms are presented. When reviewing scientific and technical literature, the focus was mainly on sources containing theoretical and research information of the methods under consideration and comparing traditional techniques and methods based on deep neural networks supported by experimental research. An analysis of scientific and technical literature describing methods and algorithms for analyzing and recognizing facial expressions and world scientific research results has shown that traditional methods of classifying facial expressions are inferior in speed and accuracy to artificial neural networks. This reviews main contributions provide a general understanding of modern approaches to facial expression recognition, which will allow new researchers to understand the main components and trends in facial expression recognition. A comparison of world scientific research results has shown that the combination of traditional approaches and approaches based on deep neural networks show better classification accuracy. However, the best classification methods are artificial neural networks.

The article is devoted to clarifying the pe-culiarities of forming an inclusive educational environment in the Ukrainian education system and highlighting the strategies for its effective development by conducting a SWOT analysis. Theoretical methods of studying the study and analysis of philosophical, pedagogical and psychological literature were used to identify the state of the problem of formation of inclusive educational environ-ment in science, as well as its importance in the prepara-tion of students of social and pedagogical profile; synthe-sis, induction, deduction, generalization and systematiza-tion of existing scientific research results in order to de-termine the state of development of the problem and per-spective directions of its solution. Theoretical methods of studying the study and analy-sis of philosophical, pedagogical and psychological litera-ture were used to identify the state of the problem of formation of inclusive educational environment in science, as well as its importance in the preparation of students of social and pedagogical profile; synthesis, induction, de-duction, generalization and systematization of existing scientific research results in order to determine the state of development of the problem and perspective directions of its solution.It is established that SWOT analysis is a universal strategic planning technique aimed at finding the new opportunities and identifying the potential risks to effectively define the research object. Strengths of in-clusive educational environment are identified, such as implementation of democratic foundations of public order, existence of barrier-free physical and psychological envi-ronment, elimination of discriminatory manifestations and social stereotypes, emergence of new vectors of teachers’ professional development, cohesion of parental communi-ty, etc. Among the weaknesses are the substantive, func-tional and organizational aspects that determine the activities of socio-pedagogical profile. Possibilities of inclu-sive educational environment are discovered, which in-clude the preparation of social community for acceptance of people with special educational needs, emergence of experimental education institutions, mass media involve-ment in the work on formation of positive image of inclu-sive education, etc. The threats and obstacles to the for-mation of an effective inclusive educational environment are characterized, such as the lack of an adapted domes-tic model of the organization of inclusive education, the lack of a legal framework regulating all Based on the SWOT analysis, strategies for the effec-tive development of an inclusive educational environment were identified, for instance 1) a strategy of using strengths aimed at finding internal reserves, 2) a strategy of using strengths to overcome threats, 3) a strategy of using opportunities to overcome weaknesses, 4) a strate-gy for weakness elimination and threat prevention.It is emphasized that each of the identified strategies is im-plemented through the interaction between specialists of socio-pedagogical profile who are the subjects of inclusive education practice, whose level of professional training will significantly influence the problems of forming an effective inclusive education environment.

The article describes two scientific expeditions to the Maclay Coast (Madang region) in Papua New Guinea in the 21st century organized by the Russian non-profit organization Miklouho-Maclay Foundation for the Preservation of Ethnocultural Heritage with the participation of the scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences from Moscow and St. Petersburg in the footsteps of great Russian scientist, humanitarian and ethnographer Nikolay Miklouho-Maclay. The article represents the first research results and outlines the prospects of cooperation in the scientific, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Trends in the development of modern sensory devices based on surface plasmon resonance (SPR) are considered. The basic principles of construction of SPR sensor are given. For excitation of surface plasmons on the surface of sensitive elements of biosensory, a prism of total internal reflection is used or a dielectric substrate are used. A thin (dozens nm) film of high-conductive metal (mainly gold or silver) is applied to the working surface of the prisms or dielectric substrate. In a typical observation experiment, SPR is measured dependence on the angle of increasing light intensity, reflected by the resonance sensitive surface of the prism (chip). The optical schemes and principles of work of various SPR sensors are considered: - SPR Sensors with angular modulation, which are the most commonly used method based on the corner registration, in which the SPR occurs. The surface of the metal film is irradiated by monochromatic light and scans on a certain range of angles. There is a kind of SPR sensors with angular modulation, in which there is no mechanical scan of the angle of fall. Such sensors are entirely necessary for excitation of PPRs a set of angles is obtained due to a divergent or convergent light beam. - PPR sensors with a wavelength modulation is based on fixing an angle of falling light at a certain value and modulation of the wavelength of the incident light. Excitation of surface plasmons leads to a characteristic failure in the spectrum of reflected radiation. - Phase sensitive SPR sensors in which a change in the phase of the light wave associated with the surface plasma is measured on one corner of the fall and the wavelength of the light wave and is used as the output signal. - SPR imaging sensors in which the Technology of SPR imaging (SPRi) combines the sensitivity of the SPR with spatial image capabilities. The SPRI circuit uses as a fixed angle (as a rule, a slightly left angle of the SPR) and a fixed wavelength to measure changes in the reflection ability (Δ% R) that occur when the curve of the SPR is shifted due to the change in the refractive index above the surface of the sensor element. - SPR imaging sensors polarization contrast. In order to improve the quality of high-performance SPR imaging sensors in terms of sensitivity and resolution, the method of polarization contrast is used Disadvantages and advantages of SPR sensors are constructed with different principles are considered. The design and prospect of the use of achromatic and suburchast wave plates in the PPR imaging sensors with polarization contrast are considered.

Abstract Linguocultural approach is the new teaching direction in teaching Russian as a foreign language (RFL). Based on this approach, students are aimed to form a linguocultural competence. Studying scientific research show that there is a lot of linguistic units that are suitable to help students in forming their linguocultural competence. The purpose of the research is to apply the topic “Russian culinaronyms” (known as the name of Russian food) in the formation of the linguocultural competence of Vietnamese students who are learning Russian as a foreign language. The research was conducted by surveying and interviewing 26 Russian teachers in Vietnam by verifying the applicability of theory and practice of the topic “Russian culinaronyms”. The research results show that the teachers think that the application of this food topic in the formation of their linguocultural competence is appropriate with high survey results. Furthermore, it reveals the linguistic and cultural dimensions from Russian culinaronyms which can be used to form a linguocultural competence for Vietnamese students. The topic “Russian culinaronyms” can be applied in extracurricular sessions for language specialized students.
