Prefabricated buildings have comprehensive advantages over traditional buildings, but the reasons for the incremental cost in the construction stage are complex and need to be solved urgently. This paper takes the prefabricated components that have the greatest impact on the construction cost of prefabricated buildings as the research object, divides the construction process of prefabricated components into three stages: production, transportation and site installation of prefabricated components, studies the interrelation of each stage in combination with the application of information technology system of prefabricated components, and establishes a model by using structural equation. The results show that the production cost of prefabricated parts has a positive influence on the transportation and installation cost. Transportation and the application of information technology have the greatest impact on construction costs; the production and assembly of prefabricated parts have relatively little influence on the construction cost.

Purpose This paper aims to empirically identify crucial international logistics policy enablers and to examine their impacts on logistics performance using survey data collected from 169 responding firms in Taiwan and 109 responding firms in the UK including logistics companies, freight forwarders, shipping companies, agencies and airline companies. Design/methodology/approach A multiple regression analysis is used as a method to empirically validate the research model. Findings Results indicate the five most important logistics policy enablers according to Taiwanese logistics firms are information technology system, inland transport linkage, simplifying the customs clearance procedures, ports and maritime transport and having a policy to ensure efficient service operation and multiplicity of services. In contrast, for the UK logistics firms, the five most important logistics policy enablers are telecommunications, information technology system, avoidance of unnecessary regulation, inland transport linkage and ports and maritime transport. Results also indicate that logistics policy dimensions in terms of regulation, integration, infrastructure and logistics education have a positive influence on firms’ logistics service quality and efficiency. Originality/value Theoretical and policy implications from the research findings on logistics policy between these two countries are discussed in this paper.

Abstract To fulfill information needs that are relevant, fast, and accurate, the application of information technology, especially computer-based is inseparable from the role of the three basic components of a computer. The success model of the information technology system developed by DeLone & McLean quickly received a response. PT. Bank Lampung as one of the banking service providers in Lampung, is the object of research to determine how variables affect the level of Quality System, Information Quality, Service Quality, Use and Satisfaction and Use of Benefits, to determine the level of effectiveness in PT Bank Lampung's internal customer management information system. SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) is a multivariate statistical technique that is a combination of factor analysis and regression analysis (correlation), which aims to examine the relationship between variables in the model. To explain the overall relationship that exists between the variables in this study using AMOS software (Moment Structure Analysis). This shows that the sample variance-covariance matrix (observation data) I s the same as the estimated matrix of variance-covariance (population) based on the model built, it is expected that the results of this study KI significantly influence P, KI significantly affects KP, KS influences significant impact on P, significantly affecting KS KP, KL significantly affected P, KL significantly affected KP, P significantly affected KP, P significantly affected M, KP significantly affected M.

Construction cost is a major concern to both clients and contractors. Based on a hypotheticalconstruction project (a six-storey concrete framed office building), cost and otherrelated information was collected through a survey of contractors in Japan, the UK and theUS. Using multiple regression analysis it was found that lower overheads, less prefabricatedcomponents, and fewer design variations could reduce construction cost. Overheadslargely represent indirect costs to contractors and if reduced can lead to increased profitlevels and improved competitiveness. The use of prefabricated components may be problematicwhere there are delays in production, insufficient coordination between design andconstruction, and congested transportation on site. Design variations during constructionbring about uncertainties and are disruptive to the construction process. These factorshave paramount impact on construction cost and demand close attention and consideration.Contractors are advised to reduce the costs of their overheads and utilise prefabricationappropriately, while clients and designers should minimise the number of designvariations during construction if better cost performance is desired.

The application of immigration information technology at the Immigration Checkpoint (TPI) is a very important matter to always be considered and developed in the very long term in the future, one of them is to focus on developing the autogate system. With some literacy regarding immigration information technology at TPI in several countries, it can result in several comparisons between the immigration information technology system in Indonesia with the immigration information technology system in several foreign countries. This can be used as study or learning material in seeing some of the shortcomings or gaps that the immigration technology information system in Indonesia has. The results of the study carried out with this qualitative research method have explained that the immigration information technology system in TPI Indonesia still has several gaps or shortcomings when compared to the existing systems in several other countries. So, it is very necessary to make several further studies or research related to the development of an immigration information technology system at TPI Indonesia that can adapt several existing systems in several countries.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the company's business processes and make strategic planning and information technology system that is suitable for supporting the goals and vision of the company's mission. The research method is data collection in the form of interviews with the company management and staff, field observations, literature research related to strategic planning and information technology systems. The results of this study prove that the company has a weakness in the implementation of information systems which is not maximized , while the strength of the company has not been fully supported by the use of information technology . This shows that the need for strategic planning and information technology systems to support achievement of business strategy at the company over the next five years. Thus, this research produced a strategic plan in the form of application architecture, hardware architecture, network architecture, organizational development, implementation schedule and cost estimates.

Abstract Background Patient-centered care has been shown to improve patient outcomes, satisfaction, and engagement. However, there is a paucity of research on patient-centered care in the inpatient setting, including an understanding of unmet informational needs that may be limiting patient engagement. Pediatric hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) represents an ideal patient population for elucidating unmet informational needs, due to the procedure’s complexity and its requirement for caregiver involvement. Methods We conducted field observations and semi-structured interviews of pediatric HSCT caregivers and patients to identify informational challenges in the inpatient hospital setting. Data were analyzed using a thematic grounded theory approach. Results Three stages of the caregiving experience that could potentially be supported by a health information technology system, with the goal of enhancing patient/caregiver engagement, were identified: (1) navigating the health system and learning to communicate effectively with the healthcare team, (2) managing daily challenges of caregiving, and (3) transitioning from inpatient care to long-term outpatient management. Discussion We provide four practical recommendations to meet the informational needs of pediatric HSCT patients and caregivers: (1) provide patients/caregivers with real-time access to electronic health record data, (2) provide information about the clinical trials in which the patient is enrolled, (3) provide information about the patient’s care team, and (4) properly prepare patients and caregivers for hospital discharge. Conclusion Pediatric HSCT caregivers and patients have multiple informational needs that could be met with a health information technology system that integrates data from several sources, including electronic health records. Meeting these needs could reduce patients’ and caregivers’ anxiety surrounding the care process; reduce information asymmetry between caregivers/patients and providers; empower patients/caregivers to participate in the care process; and, ultimately, increase patient/caregiver engagement in the care process.
