Objective: This paper aims to explore the role of factors pertaining to trust in real-world automation systems through the application of observational methods in a case study from the railway sector. Background: Trust in automation is widely acknowledged as an important mediator of automation use, but the majority of the research on automation trust is based on laboratory work. In contrast, this work explored trust in a real-world setting. Method: Experienced rail operators in four signaling centers were observed for 90 min, and their activities were coded into five mutually exclusive categories. Their observed activities were analyzed in relation to their reported trust levels, collected via a questionnaire. Results: The results showed clear differences in activity, even when circumstances on the workstations were very similar, and significant differences in some trust dimensions were found between groups exhibiting different levels of intervention and time not involved with signaling. Conclusion: Although the empirical, lab-based studies in the literature have consistently found that reliability and competence of the automation are the most important aspects of trust development, understanding of the automation emerged as the strongest dimension in this study. The implications are that development and maintenance of trust in real-world, safety-critical automation systems may be distinct from artificial laboratory automation. Application: The findings have important implications for emerging automation concepts in diverse industries including highly automated vehicles and Internet of things.

This paper addresses the problem of describing the spread of COVID-19 by a mathematical model introducing all the possible control actions as prevention (informative campaign, use of masks, social distancing, vaccination) and medication. The model adopted is similar to SEIQR, with the infected patients split into groups of asymptomatic subjects and isolated ones. This distinction is particularly important in the current pandemic, due to the fundamental the role of asymptomatic subjects in the virus diffusion. The influence of the control actions is considered in analysing the model, from the calculus of the equilibrium points to the determination of the reproduction number. This choice is motivated by the fact that the available organised data have been collected since from the end of February 2020, and almost simultaneously containment measures, increasing in typology and effectiveness, have been applied. The characteristics of COVID-19, not fully understood yet, suggest an asymmetric diffusion among countries and among categories of subjects. Referring to the Italian situation, the containment measures, as applied by the population, have been identified, showing their relation with the government's decisions; this allows the study of possible scenarios, comparing the impact of different possible choices.

The objective of the article is identify of probability ofexpanding internship program with PNJ by not only KAP but also other type of industries and also to identify the role of KAP in supporting Kampus Merdeka Curriculum. The result show, KAP plays a dominant role in supporting internship program where KAP has already started the supporting many students to learn and experiencing the real world. The curriculum has already support the need of KAP therefore, this link is possible to be expanded. Tujuan dari kajian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kemungkinan industri untuk berperan dalam implementasikurikulum kampus merdeka. Kajian ini dibuat dengan menggunakan metodologi kualitatip, dimana dalam pengolahannya melibatkan pihak KAP, PNJ, mahasiswa yang terlibat program magang yang dilakukan dalam satu fokus group discussion. Data dikumpulkan dari berbagai media dan sumber sumber resmi dari kementrian pendidikan dan kebudayaan dan diolah dengan menggunakan metode compare, contras dan sintesis. Hasilnya menyimpulkan bahwa kerja sama antara KAP dan PNJ telah mempelopori implementasi kurikulum kampus merdeka dan telah memberi manfaat bagi KAP, mahasiswa dan PNJ.
