A wave phenomena evolved day after day, as various concepts regarding waves appeared with the passage of time. These phenomena are generally modelled mathematically by partial differential equations (PDEs). In this research, we investigate the exact analytical solutions of one and two dimensional linear dissipative wave equations which are modelled by second order PDEs with use of some initial and boundary conditions. We use double Laplace transform (DLT) and triple Laplace transform (TLT) methods to determine these exact analytical solutions. We provide examples with figures to test effectiveness of this scheme of Laplace transform

In this work, combined double Laplace transform and Adomian decomposition method is presented to solve nonlinear singular one dimensional thermo-elasticity coupled system. Moreover, the convergence proof of the double Laplace transform decomposition method applied to our problem. By using one example, our proposed method is illustrated and the obtained results are confirmed.

AbstractWhile terahertz spectroscopy can provide valuable information regarding the charge transport properties in semiconductors, its application for the characterization of low-conductive two-dimensional layers, i.e., σs <  < 1 mS, remains elusive. This is primarily due to the low sensitivity of direct transmission measurements to such small sheet conductivity levels. In this work, we discuss harnessing the extraordinary optical transmission through gratings consisting of metallic stripes to characterize such low-conductive two-dimensional layers. We analyze the geometric tradeoffs in these structures and provide physical insights, ultimately leading to general design guidelines for experiments enabling non-contact, non-destructive, highly sensitive characterization of such layers.
