The ability to solve physics problems is one of the goals in learning physics and a part of the current curriculum demands. One of the physics problems that are often the focus of attention in learning is Newton's law of motion. When solving physics problems on Newton's law of motion, students need to utilize various aspects of certain abilities and rules. The purpose of this study was to reveal how the students utilized aspects of the abilities and rules in problem-solving. The study was conducted by providing physics problems on Newton's law of motion to 105 high school students. The result showed that most students were able to write equations, solutions, and system of units correctly for each problem. However, students’ ability to determine the coordinate axes, depicts free-body diagrams, forces representation, and determine the resultant forces and direction of motion was unsatisfactory. Students tended to refer to the mathematical formulations in solving the problems. Therefore, physics learning that requires students to actively learn collaboratively, peer instruction, and procedural thinking can be used as an alternative learning strategy to overcome said problems.

One branch of physics is mechanics. Based on interviews to Senior High School teacher in Jember, mechanics is difficult to learn. The eksternals factor this chapter is dificult to learn is learning Resources. The learning Resources are often less contextuall with around the phenomenon of students. The contextuall learning Resources in the Jember Regency is study of kynematics and dynamics in the traffic of Rembangan Tourism. From this experiment, we get data can be used as a learning resources chapter uniform rectilinear motion, decelerated uniform rectilinear motion, accelerated uniform rectilinear motion, Newton’s Law, and circular motion.

Newton's law of cooling is shown to underestimate the heat flux between a spherical body (droplet) and a homogeneous gas after this body is suddenly immersed into the gas. This problem is rectified by replacing the gas thermal conductivity by the effective thermal conductivity. The latter reduces to the gas thermal conductivity in the limit of t→∞, but can be substantially higher in the limit of t→0. In the case of fuel droplet heating in a medium duty truck Diesel engine the gas thermal conductivity may need to be increased by more than 100 percent at the initial stage of calculations to account for transient effects during the process of droplet heating.

The Hamiltonian equation provides us an alternate description of the basic physical laws of motion, which is used to be described by Newton's law. The research on Hamiltonian integrable systems is one of the most important topics in the theory of solitons. This article proposes a new hierarchy of integrable systems of1+2dimensions with its Hamiltonian form by following the residue approach of Fokas and Tu. The new hierarchy of integrable system is of fundamental interest in studying the Hamiltonian systems.
