Pelatihan Penulisan Naskah Ilmiah Jurnal Investigasi Bagi Guru-Guru Se-Kota Tangerang Selatan

Community service activities. Scientific Manuscript Writing Training Journal of Educational Research at SMP Negeri 17 Tangerang Selatan aims to help elementary/junior/junior high school teachers in South Tangerang City in writing scientific manuscripts that will be published in ISSN journals. The training method is carried out using the method of mentoring, discussion, workshops and technical guidance (bimtek) of writing scientific manuscripts in accordance with journal manuscript standards. The results of the training were obtained as many as 11 elementary school teacher manuscripts (73%) and 4 junior high school teacher manuscripts (27%) published in the INVESTIGATION journal of SMP Negeri 17 Tangerang Selatan Volume 2 Number 2 Month September 2021 - December 2022. Publishing teacher scientific manuscripts in the INVESTIGATION journal is certainly very important. assisting teachers in fulfilling their obligations to journalize their scientific texts, so that they are not constrained in promotion of class or position. The targeted output in this community service activity is the publication of the results of community service activities in national scientific journals with ISSN.

PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES OF A HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER IN THE ERA OF DIGITALIZATION

The article reflects the results of some sociological studies, the results of which indicate the need for the formation of new, digital competencies for higher school teachers. Global economic processes and digital trends are transforming the content and technologies of pedagogical work, but many teachers are not ready for such innovations. The conclusion is made that the sustainable introduction of digital learning tools can be successful only if the general vector of digital transformation of the educational process is justified and supported by both the university administration and the teachers themselves.

PELATIHAN PENGAJARAN MENGGUNAKAN QUIZIZZ PADA MATA PELAJARAN BAHASA INGGRIS UNTUK SISWA SMP PADA GURU-GURU SMPN 2 KEDIRI, LOMBOK BARAT NTB

ABSTRAKTujuan utama pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mengelola kelas online melalui pelatihan pengajaran menggunakan Quizizz pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris untuk siswa SMP pada guru-guru SMPN 2 kediri. Quizizz merupakan web tool untuk membuat permainan kuis interaktif yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Quizizz tidak hanya dapat dikerjakan saat pembelajaran di kelas saja, tetapi juga dapat dibuat soal untuk pekerjaan rumah, sehingga dapat dimainkan kapan saja dan dimana saja oleh siswa asalkan tidak melebihi batas waktu. Hasil observasi awal ditemukan bahwa guru-guru menggunakan WA Group dan Google Classroom. Pelatihan dilakukan dengan pemberian materi, tanya jawab, dan praktek pembuatan media Quizizz . Untuk mengetahui keberhasilan kegiatan pengabdian ini, dilakukan evaluasi dengan pengisian angket respon terhadap kepuasan menggunakan Quizizz . Hasil angket menunjukkan respon peserta pelatihan puas terhadap pelaksanaan PKM ini dan menjawab sangat mudah sebesar 100%. Tingkat kepuasan peserta pelatihan dari segi materi, penyampaian materi, proses diskusi serta pelatihan individu 100%. Sedangkan 50% menyatakan mengalami peningkatan terkait kemampuan menggunakan media Quizizz dan pengelolaan kelas online. Dari hasil pelatihan disarankan agar guru-guru di masa pandemi ini memahami dan menggunakan media Quizizz agar evaluasi pembelajaran terhadap siswa lebih efektif dan menyenangkan. ABSTRACTThis community services aims to improve teacher competency in administering online classes by providing junior high school teacher at SMPN 2 Kediri with Quizizz training. Quizizz is a website that allows you to create interactive quiz games in the classroom. Quizizz can be used in class and to create homework questions so that students can play it whenever and wherever they choose as long as the time limit is not exceeded. English teachers use WA Group and Google Classroom after performing preliminary observation. The training was conducted by distributing materials, discussion, and offering hands-on practice in creating Quizizz media. An evaluation was done to determine the success of this service activity by filling out a response questionnaire to in using Quizizz . The findings of the questionnaire revealed that the training participants were satisfied with the implementation of this activity and answered very easily by 100%. The level of satisfaction of the training participants in material, material delivery, discussion process, and individual training is 100%. Meanwhile, 50% of the respondents said their abilities improved in using Quizizz media. It is suggested that teachers understand and use the Quizizz during this pandemic so that student evaluation of learning is more enjoyable. Keywords: training; teacher; Quizizz .

TEACHER’S SELF-EDUCATION AS A GUARANTEE OF IMPROVING PROFESSIONAL PEDAGOGICAL SKILLS

The article briefly describes the psychological and pedagogical, socio-economic and scientific-technological prerequisites for improving the professional skills of a teacher of a modern higher education institution. The author touches upon the problems of forming the pedagogical skills of a high school teacher in the context of today, analyzes the dynamics of requirements for him over the past decades and, in particular, during the lockdown period associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. A number of research methods were used: analysis and systematization of scientific sources that reveal the goals and means of improving the pedagogical skills of teachers, in particular, given the problems of teaching in a pandemic COVID-19 and related quarantine facilities; terminological analysis necessary to clarify and differentiate key research definitions; theoretical modeling of processes of increase of professional skill of the scientific and pedagogical worker by means of his self-education; empirical observations - to study current issues of teaching. The author outlines the current factors stimulating the process of increasing the self-educational competence of a teacher of higher education, in particular, the informatization of the educational space, which becomes mandatory in modern conditions. An overview of innovative self-educational tools is made, attention is paid to the role of the administration of higher education institutions in their implementation. The conclusion is made about the need to design and implement tools to increase the self-educational competence of research and teaching staff in modern conditions. The value of the teacher's self-educational competence is clarified.. The traditional list of principles of self-education (systematic and consistent; focus on practical activities; complexity) and the means of their implementation in the practice of improving the pedagogical skills of a teacher of higher education is analyzed. The inclusion of such principles as interdisciplinarity, innovation, efficiency and mobility, which reflect the proven constant possibility of rapid changes in the educational environment and in the world in general, is justified.

Investigating the Impact of COVID-19 toward Depression Rate of Indonesian Senior High Schools Teachers

The COVID -19 pandemic, which has been ongoing for over a year, has become a burden to the world, causing anxiety and depression. The purpose of this study is to investigate the depression and stress levels of senior high school teachers in Indonesia during the COVID-19 outbreak since they have experienced substantial teaching situations change as a result of it. In particular, the changes in their professional, as well as personal lives, pose challenges during the pandemic. This quantitative study distributing questionnaires to 50 high school teachers in Indonesia. The findings indicate that social support is the most significant factor (0,46%) needed to prevent depression and stress among the teachers. Meanwhile, workload and role conflict cover 0,74% and 0,84% respectively of variables that teachers can change with the assumption that both variables exist even before a pandemic arises. This study also reveals that teachers continue to receive less attention and support, especially in terms of their stress and depression coverage. It is because the prevailing perception is that teachers should be the ones giving attention, not the ones receiving it. The study is that to withstand the Pandemic's uncertainty where high school teacher able to minimize and overcome their depressions.

ORGANISING COMMUNICATIVE ACTIVITIES EFFECTIVELY IN TEACHING ENGLISH GRAMMAR IN A HIGH SCHOOL IN CAN THO CITY, VIETNAM / TỔ CHỨC CÁC HOẠT ĐỘNG GIAO TIẾP HIỆU QUẢ TRONG DẠY NGỮ PHÁP TIẾNG ANH TẠI MỘT TRƯỜNG TRUNG HỌC PHỔ THÔNG Ờ THÀNH PHỐ CẦN THƠ, VIỆT NAM

This study was conducted to investigate the effective organization of communicative activities in the periods of teaching English grammar skill. The site of this study was High school Teacher Practice-Can Tho University, in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam. The questionnaire and semi-structured interview protocol were the two main tools in gathering data from students and teachers of English at a high school. First, the research analyzed the problems of organizing “communicative activities” in teaching English grammar in high school. The problems related to teachers’ communicative method preference, the deep knowledge of communicative activities, and methodology compromise between teachers and students. They also were the noise and disorder acceptance, readiness for hard work, and the deep knowledge of English and wide understanding life. Moreover, role play is the challenge for weak students and the requirement for them. The troubles concerning with a structure were the most difficulties for students. On the other hand, this study found that noise, disorder, grouping were some suggestions for more effective communicative activities. Besides, furniture and seating arrangement, choice of genres and topics of game, monitoring and time limitation also were the best solutions for better communicative activities in teaching grammar. <p> </p><p><strong> Article visualizations:</strong></p><p><img src="/-counters-/edu_01/0901/a.php" alt="Hit counter" /></p>

Permasalahan kepemimpinan dan pengembangan karir dan pengaruhnya terhadap produktivitas kerja guru

The purpose of this study is to analyze the simultaneous, partial and dominant influence of the variable Leadership and Career Development on teacher work productivity. This type of research is explanatory research, namely research that aims to determine the relationship between the two variables of leadership and career development on teacher work productivity. The research population was the Riyadlul Jannah Pacet Junior High School teacher, Mojokerto. Data analysis used multiple linear regression. The results of the study show that: 1) leadership and career development have a simultaneous effect on teacher work productivity. 2) leadership and career development have a partial effect on teacher work productivity. 3) career development has a dominant effect on teacher work productivity.
