To solve the problem of how to apply information technology in English education field, to realize the integration of information technology and courses and also to truly improve the study efficiency, the advanced technologies were combined with some education measurement theories and applied in computer-aided test field. In addition, a computer-aided autonomous learning system with adaptive feature was developed, which was a self-adaptive learning system of junior English. The results showed that, under the guidance of the classic test theory and the project response theory, the system was designed and developed on the basis of the “people-oriented” principle. With the increasing number of students wanting to practice, the system dynamically rewrote the relevant learning record parameters, and conducted a real-time record of the true level of ability of each different student in different knowledge points. In a word, practicing according to the actual situation, the learning system can help achieve a truly personalized learning, and meanwhile enhances the efficiency of learning.

Information technology has been proved to be a strategic weapon in the business armory for the creation and sustention of competitive advantage, especially, when it is aligned with the needs of the internal and external environment. Solutions are provided from the operational level up to strategic planning and are capable to support every choice in the strategy portfolio, from cost to quality and flexibility. IT systems in the manufacturing and operational level were analyzed extensively in literature: ERP systems, computer aided design/ computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), and so forth. According to Wong, Bo, Bodnovich, and Selvi (1997), 53.5% of the reviewed literature in artificial intelligence refers to applications in production and operations management. Nevertheless, the second most important area for advanced IT applications is that of finance (25.4%). This research will be focused on the common set of the two previously mentioned areas: production management and the necessary financial tools. Production and operation management requires specific financial tools in order to accomplish the functions of production planning, costing, investment appraisal, and so forth. Computational intelligence in those financial functions is mostly needed for the production operation department and for the production operation strategy. Specifically, the weight will be put on information technology automation of financial functions adopted by production departments: forecasting production needs, production planning and control, profit volume analysis, cost analysis, investment appraisal analysis, and so forth. An attempt will be made to classify the various quantitative and qualitative techniques in relation to various financial aspects. Specifically, advances of neural networks, expert systems, advanced statistical analysis and operational research methods, and various hybrid techniques will be presented in relation to financial models applied in production. Financial applications will be analyzed according to their modules and their outputs in a strategic alignment concept. Finally, a strategic alignment model will be derived for the adoption of financialapplications in businesses.

Today, components and Component Based Development (CBD) is seen as one of the important events in the evolution of information technology. Components and CBD offer the promise of a software marketplace where components may be built, bought, or sold in a manner similar to components in other industries. In the light of the ongoing developments, in the manner and art of developing software systems, it is important to consider how the Computer Aided Systems Engineering (CASE) environment that supports building these systems can be produced on a CBD approach. In spite of the fact that CASE environments have been around since the ’70s, there are still many problems with these environments. Among the problems of CASE environments are the lack of conceptual models to help understand the technology, the poor state of user requirements specification, inflexible method, support and complicated integration facilities, which contribute to the dissatisfaction in CASE users.

The paper introduces some peculiarities of the analysis of the photographic image which emerged in the process of the investigation and preparation for publication of the album of prelate Povilas Januševičius’ the end of 19th – beginning of 20th century. Miscellaneous analysis of photograph image is presented. It also introduces how problems of photograph dating could be solved by combining in sights of investigator as well as application of information technology. Among other things a technological study is being presented in which similarity of flowered tablecloth was analysed in different photographs. Up-to-date programs for processing and analyzing images open up completely new possibilities leading to automatic recognition and identification of objects, symbols and faces.

The problem of efficient design of roofs is a topical area of research. This is confirmed by scientific studies [1–5, etс.]. Today, in the times of information technology in all areas of actively using the computer and specific programs [6; 12; 15, etc.]. The author presents a proposal of geometric design (geometric solutions) for roofs with restrictions, so-called "roof with its neighbors."Roofs are treated as a special class of polyhedral surfaces. Construction includes a corresponding attachment roof with restrictions on the roof on a simple connection of the polygon, designing a conventional roof and perform the appropriate logic operation. Fig. 1. The Boolean operations are useful tools in geometrical designing of roof skeletons. Solving roofs with neighbors is much easier if we bring them to solve simple roofs over simpleconnected polygon base. The difficulty comes to the design of an appropriate polygonal base. This method essentially involves applying geometric design of a regular roof to design a roof with constraints, which can be relatively easily performed with a CAD program [13]. The elements of a roof: a) a roof with its elements in the orthographic projection, b) the roof with its elements in a military axonometry, c) the line of disappearing ridges of the roof in the orthographic projection [9].

With the rapid development of information technology, information technology has become the main technology tool in education and teaching. Modern education and teaching must combine with information technology and give full play to the role of information technology in education and teaching. Art education is different from other subjects. Art education has its own characteristics. It is a comprehensive education and teaching system centered on aesthetics. It is one of the important measures to improve students’ comprehensive quality in modern teaching and is an important link of the development of quality education. Based on the background of informatization, this article uses VR technology to apply real experience and interactive “immersive teaching” to art teaching, and at the same time establishes an art teaching system, which realizes online learning, communication, counseling and other functions, reducing students’ knowledge threshold. It further explains the advantages and prominent role of computer-aided teaching in art teaching, and shows that computer-aided teaching should complement traditional teaching in art teaching and give full play to its active role.

AbstractThe article summarizes the experience of laboratory technical subjects teaching methodologies using a number of software products. The main aim is to modernize the teaching process in accordance with the requirements of today – based on information technology. Increasing of the study attractiveness and effectiveness is due to the introduction of Computer Aided (CA) technologies in the learning process. This paper discussed the areas where individual CA system used and concrete examples used in the education process. They are CAD system Catia V5, FluidSIM created and simulates the pneumatics and electropneumatic schemes and circles, software witness used for simulation of material flow planning and RobotStudio that illustrates operated Robot in his own manipulated area. Environment using CA systems are briefly presented in each chapter.
