Abstract Users are the basis for the survival and development of enterprises. Only by understanding user requirement can products have sufficient competitiveness. In this paper, the machining center motorized spindle is taken as the research object. Based on the user requirement, this paper takes the motorized spindle as the research object, and combines the failure performance characteristics to expand the availability function. This method can transform the requirement information into the availability improvement strategy of the motorized spindle weak links, which is an effective method to quickly improve the availability level of the machining center motorized spindle.

With the spindle system of a vertical gantry machining center as the research object, based on the vibration theory and finite element method, the modal analysis of spindle system is studied. Firstly, the finite element models of the mandrel box body and motorized spindle frame of spindle system are established by ANSYS. And then do the modal analysis of singleton in the boundary of free constraint. Lastly, based on the analysis results to establish the finite element model of the whole spindle system and do the modal analysis of the whole system which under constraint condition. The result shows that the swing of motorized spindle frame and motorized spindle sleeve of spindle system are more obvious.

The motorized spindle is a primate part of the machine tool and its thermal characteristics have great influence on the accuracy of the machine tools. The thermal errors of the spindle of a certain type of precision horizontal machining center were measured with PLC acquisition system. By multivariate linear regression method, the axial thermal error model was built. Online real-time error compensation was implemented by applying the FANUC 18i CNC system external machine coordinate system shift function. A verification method was proposed which include three steps: model validation, compensation validation and experimental machining verification. The accuracy of the model was 84.1%, 64.9% and 49.4% respectively. The quantitative analysis results showed the precision was effectively improved and the compensation method was reliable.

Based on the comprehensive analysis of the heat sources of the motorized spindle system, the thermal loads, including the heat generation of bearing friction and the electromagnetic loss of the built-in motor, are carried out for a machining center motorized spindle system. And then, the convective heat transfer coefficients of the whole spindle system are analyzed. The thermal characteristics of the motorized spindle system are calculated by finite element analysis. The steady state temperature field distribution of the motorized spindle is obtained. It provides some references for improving the thermal characteristics of the motorized spindle and reducing the difficulty of thermal error compensation.

AbstractAlthough the vaccination initiatives undertaken during the past decade are the cornerstones for protecting the world's children and helping to ensure their survival and development, the vaccines currently being employed may become obstacles for further disease reduction or eradication. Their characteristics complicate or increase the burden on health care infrastructures to maintain or expand vaccine delivery systems. This paper examines an experience with the vaccine technologies that currently are being used by immunization programs in developing countries, illustrating the field problems and obstacles associated with their use. It discusses the advantages and benefits that would accrue if new or improved, heat-stable, multi-antigen vaccines that require only one or two, preferably oral, doses were to become available.

After materials with superconducting temperatures higher than liquid nitrogen have been prepared, more emphasis has been on increasing the current densities (Jc) of high Tc superconductors than finding new materials with higher transition temperatures. Different processing techniques i.e thin films, shock wave processing, neutron radiation etc. have been applied in order to increase Jc. Microstructural studies of compounds thus prepared have shown either a decrease in gram boundaries that act as weak-links or increase in defect structure that act as flux-pinning centers. We have studied shock wave synthesized Tl-Ba-Cu-O and shock wave processed Y-123 superconductors with somewhat different properties compared to those prepared by solid-state reaction. Here we report the defect structures observed in the shock-processed Y-124 superconductors.
