Abstract Reinforced concrete structure is widely used in building structure because of its unique physical and mechanic properties, but with the increase of service life, there will be different degrees of damage in the structures. In this paper, combined with the test beam, a model of reinforced concrete beam strengthened with CFRP is established by Using ANSYS finite element software, nonlinear finite element analysis is carried out on the whole process of yield, cracking and destruction of the test beam under secondary load, while different working states of CFRP sheets were simulated by the life and death unit. The results show that the bending performance of reinforced concrete (RC) beams strengthened with CFRP can be predicted by selecting the finite element analysis model rationally.

The finite element software ANSYS is used to calculate the ultimate bearing capacity of ordinary beam and circular hole beam, and the results are compared with the test values made by predecessors. The value of shear transfer coefficient between cracks of reinforced concrete beam with circular hole in the abdomen in ANSYS finite element simulation is summarized. The coefficient is used to simulate the circular hole beam strengthened by steel sleeve, and it is pointed out that the steel tube is used to reinforce the circular hole beam The effect of tube reinforcement on the bearing capacity of circular hole beam is not obvious.

The flexural behavior of reinforced concrete beams strengthened by CFRP is analyzed by using the way which connected tests with finite element simulation.First, through the test to get the load data of one unstrengthened and one strengthened reinforced concrete beam. Then, the finite element model is carried out based on Ansys finite element analysis software. The reinforced beam carrying capacity is improved based on the test data and finite element calculation results.Steel bars stress change curve, CFRP stress curve and the load displacement curves are in good agreement with experimental results.

Finite element analysis model of reinforced concrete beam with CFRP by ANSYS were built in this paper. Through finite element method analysis of comparing the concrete beam with and without CFRP , some conclusions are given in the paper; the Fatigue Mechanism was studied , and obtained the raise the level of fatigue life of reinforced concrete beam with CFRP .The result shows CFRP can increase greatly its fatigue life and improve effectually the ductility of the structure.

The paper makes an analysis of the reinforced concrete beams with exterior FRP Shell in Finite Element, and compares it with the test results. The results show that, by means of this model, mechanical properties of reinforced concrete beams with exterior FRP shell can be predicted better. However, the larger the load, the larger deviation between calculated values and test values. Hence, if more accurate calculation is required, issues of contact interface between the reinforced concrete beams and the FRP shell should be taken into consideration.

Carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets have recently become popular for use as repair or rehabilitation material for deteriorated carbon fiber reinforced concrete structures. Carbon fiber reinforced concrete beams were analyzed by finite element software ANASYS. Through the finite element analysis, the results showed that using bonded CFRP to strengthen R. C. beams can significantly increase their load carrying capacity. However, the beams with prestressed CFRP can withstand larger ultimate loads than beams with bonded CFRP. Using bonded CFRP to strengthen R. C. beams can obviously reduce the ultimate deflection.
