Abstract Geodiversity is considered as abiotic diversity, and it is the foundation of geopark, geotourism and geoconservation. Yunnan Province is the typical area abundant in geodiversity in China. Geodiversity of Yuanmou Basin, which is located in North Yunnan, possesses scientific, cultural, aesthetical, ecological values. Howerver, there are some problems, such as underexploitation, inadequate protection, even destruction in the area. Research of geodiversity will provide a new idea for sustainable development in Yuanmou Basin.

The research on sustainable utilization of cultivated land eco-economic system has important practical significance for understanding cultivated land status and promoting sustainable utilization of cultivated land. Based on energy value theory and analysis method, this paper establishes the evaluation Index system of cultivated land eco-economic system in Yunnan Province, and chooses 5 main indexes, such as net energy output rate, environmental bearing ratio, system production dominance, system stability index and sustainable development performance index, etc. The energy input-output structure and sustainable development status of cultivated land eco-economic system were evaluated. The results show that the net energy yield of cultivated land system in Yunnan province is 0.29, lower than the national average, and the competitiveness of agricultural products is not enough; the system production dominance and system stability index are 0.51 and 0.68 respectively, which indicates that the system self-control, adjustment and feedback need to be strengthened, the environmental carrying capacity and sustainable development performance index were 0.66, 4.21, reflecting the province's arable land system in the sub-sustainable state. Therefore, the current agricultural development mode should be adjusted to optimize the input structure, and we should actively introduce external energy value, make full use of external resources, and relieve resource pressure. On the basis of applying agricultural science and technology, strengthening the utilization intensity of renewable auxiliary energy, developing green industry, reducing the environmental pressure on cultivated land system, realizing the sustainable utilization of cultivated land system.

Space is the fundamental carrier for production, living, and ecological activities, and optimizing the spatial pattern is of vital importance to promote regional sustainable development. To achieve this goal, the core issues are to identify the risks of resource and environmental constraints of development and to realize the rational distribution of human living space. Based on the integration of multisource heterogeneous data, taking Yunnan Province, a typical mountainous area in China, as an example, this research proposes a multi-object suitability evaluation method based on 50 × 50 m grid data at the provincial scale. We build a spatial conflict analysis model to identify production–living–ecological space (PLES) and propose governance suggestions for different functional areas. The results show that (1) areas suitable for ecology make up the greatest proportion of Yunnan Province, but areas with living and ecological functions show obvious spatial complementarity; (2) areas suitable for production are restricted by steep slope, geological hazards and fragmented pattern; (3) areas suitable for living is rare, and they are mainly concentrated in the plains of central Yunnan; and (4) twenty-seven percent of area has potential spatial conflicts, among which 4.38% of the area is all suitable for production–living–ecological. The production–living advantage areas are concentrated in the central Yunnan UA (Urban agglomeration), which has a high spatial overlap. These results are expected to provide valuable insights to support comprehensive multifunctional spatial utilization and sustainable development in mountainous areas.

Jinla Pb-Zn-Ag deposit in Cangyuan county of Yunnan province is occured in the Yungou Formation of Ximeng Group. The occurrence and morphology of the orebody are controlled by the regional tectonic crush belts. The type of the deposit is altered tectonic crush belts, and the mainly metallic minerals are galena, sphalerite, pyrite, siderite, chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite and argentite. The raw ore contain Pb 3.36%, Zn 4.13%. By reviewing the exploitation economic value of the deposit, the deposit meets the requirements of current industry in the technology and economy. The mine is a large-scale mine, which provides a huge reserve of resources for the sustainable development of national economy.
