A calculate method based on ε-NTU model for heat transfer characteristics of shell-tube fuel-cooled heat exchanger of aero-engine lubrication system was built. The heat convection coefficient was obtained by a dimensionless curve (Re~StPr2/3), which was detailed introduced as well. A case study was executed at last. The absolute error of the outlet lubrication of the tube side and the shell side between the value of calculation and experiment was less than ±10°C, and the relative error was less than 6.5%. The absolute error of the heat transferred between calculation and experiment was less than ±0.9kW, and the relative error was less than 7.4%. It indicates that the mothod is available for the investigation of heat transfer characteristics of shell-tube fuel-cooled heat exchanger.

To estimate the relationship between vertical movements of the Earth’s crust, geoid temporal changes and Mean Sea Level (MSL) variations, a knowledge about the absolute (determined from satellite and space techniques) height changes over time is required. In this paper, we give an idea of determining the height changes with a use of Vertical Switching Edge Detection (VSED) algorithm. On the basis of the least squares estimation, the VSED method detects the discontinuities in time series and determines the values of jumps at the same time. We used the time series from PPP (Precise Point Positioning) solution obtained in NGL (Nevada Geodetic Laboratory) using satellite data gathered at more than 50 permanent stations located in Latvia, Lithuania and northeastern Poland. The minimum time span of data was set up to 3 years. Data were pre-analyzed by removing outliers and interpolating small gaps. The obtained results give an overview of a possibility of the proposed method to be used and the ongoing vertical movements on the area we considered.

Purpose. Clinical practice variations and low implementation of effective and cost-effective health care technologies are a key challenge for health care systems and may lead to suboptimal treatment and health loss for patients. The purpose of this work was to subcategorize the expected value of perfect implementation (EVPIM) to enable estimation of the absolute and relative value of eliminating slow, low, and delayed implementation. Methods. Building on the EVPIM framework, this work defines EVPIM subcategories to estimate the expected value of eliminating slow, low, or delayed implementation. The work also shows how information on regional implementation patterns can be used to estimate the value of eliminating regional implementation variation. The application of this subcategorization is illustrated by a case study of the implementation of an antiplatelet therapy for the secondary prevention after myocardial infarction in Sweden. Incremental net benefit (INB) estimates are based on published cost-effectiveness assessments and a threshold of SEK 250,000 (£22,300) per quality-adjusted life year (QALY). Results. In the case study, slow, low, and delayed implementation was estimated to represent 22%, 34%, and 44% of the total population EVPIM (2941 QALYs or SEK 735 million), respectively. The value of eliminating implementation variation across health care regions was estimated to 39% of total EVPIM (1138 QALYs). Conclusion. Subcategorizing EVPIM estimates the absolute and relative value of eliminating different parts of suboptimal implementation. By doing so, this approach could help decision makers to identify which parts of suboptimal implementation are contributing most to total EVPIM and provide the basis for assessing the cost and benefit of implementation activities that may address these in future implementation of health care interventions.

Abstract This paper presents a comparative study between the absolute and relative methods for altimetric positional accuracy of Digital Elevation Models (DEM). For the theoretical basis of this research, the definitions of accuracy (exactness) and precision, as well the concepts related to absolute and relative positional accuracy were explored. In the case study, the Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) and the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) DEM were used. In the analysis of the absolute accuracy, 6,568 ground control points from GNSS orbital survey were used, collected through relative-static method. In the relative accuracy, it was used as reference DEM with spatial resolution of 5 meters generated by stereophotogrammetrical process for the Mapping Project of Bahia (Brazil). It was concluded that, once the accuracy of the reference DEM is better than the other two evaluated DEM, the results of the classification for the PEC-PCD for the relative evaluation are equal to or better than the absolute evaluation results, with the advantage to being able to verify the pixel population of the evaluated models, which makes it possible to identify outliers, distortions and displacements, including delimiting regions, which is much less likely with a limited set of control points.

The granting of power in Indonesian positive law is set forth in Book III Chapter XVI starting from Article 1792 to 1819 of the Civil Code. Giving power to sell is one form of power of attorney that is often found in the community. Article 1813 of the Civil Code on the expiry of the power of attorney may be disregarded, and this is what the power-granting institution is called the Absolute Power. The Absolute Authority is stipulated in the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs number 14 year 1982 concerning the prohibition of the use of absolute power clause in the deed of sale and the deed of sale and purchase binding. The legal method used was the normative juridical method, with the specification of descriptive analysis. The data analysis used was qualitative analysis. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the legal protection for the authorizer in the production of the power of sale deed may be granted if the power of sale deed is made in an authentic deed—it is the perfect evidence. Article 1800 to 1806 of the Civil Code that governs the duty of the assignee is a form of legal protection granted by law to the authorizer. The verification and judgment process by the judge to decide the case number 016/G/2014/PTUN.Smg was done equally between the plaintiff and the defendant and given the same right to prove, and the judge in accordance with the principle of the State Administrative Judge is active, of irrelevant evidence, no longer considered, but constituted a unity in the decision of this dispute. Keywords: Power of Attorney; Power of Sale; Absolute

Whitehead writes that ‘[i]n all philosophic theory there is an ultimate’ It would be difficult to find a case study in Process and Reality, a description of the functioning of a philosophy’s ultimate principle. The only example that can be found is a succession of terms: ‘In monistic philosophies, Spinoza’s or absolute idealism, this ultimate is God, who is also equivalently termed “The Absolute”’. Whitehead says no more of it. But how does this ultimate work? Why has he been able to identify it with the ‘absolute’ or with ‘God’? These questions remain unanswered. It is possible, however, to reconstruct a discourse of the absolute by taking a detour to connect a few separate elements.

<p>Little is currently known about the optical phenomenon known as Steve. The first scientific publication on the subject suggests that Steve is associated with an intense subauroral ion drift (SAID). However, additional inquiry is warranted as this suggested relationship as it is based on a single case study. Here we present eight occurrences of Steve with coincident or near‐coincident measurements from the European Space Agency's Swarm satellites and show that Steve is consistently associated with SAID. When satellite observations coincident with Steve are compared to that of typical SAID, we find the SAID associated with Steve to have above average peak ion velocities and electron temperatures, as well as extremely low plasma densities.</p>
