Version control systems like CVS and Subversion have transformed collaboration workflows in software engineering and made possible the globally distributed project teams we know from the Open Source phenomenon. On the other hand, XML is coming of age as a basis for document formats, and even though XML as a text-based format is amenable to version control in principle, the fact that version control systems work on files makes difficult the integration of fragment access techniques like XPath, XQuery that are currently revolutionizing XML workflows. In this paper we present the TNTBase system, an open-source versioned XML database obtained by integrating Berkeley DB XML into the Subversion Server. The system is intended as a basis for collaborative editing and sharing XML-based documents. It integrates versioning and fragment access needed for fine-granular document content management.

With the rapid development of internet applications, the patterns of academic press change obviously, therefore this research attempt to establish a academic publishing platform, which based on the content management systems (CMS), from a editor’s point of view in practice. Through the flow and version control of the CMS, the capability and feasibility of the online editor team had been observed. Moreover, the conformity of information and the dissemination improvement also had been taken into account. We anticipate the technologies of content management lead-in the patterns of academic press can improve the editing process efficiency regarding to version control, change, save, publishing and information exchange. The whole CMS system for online publishing had been implemented and two kinds of different academic press in Hsuan Chuang University, one print version and the other online version, had been choosen. The editing and publishing process had been evaluated. Finally, some results and suggestions had been provided.

Seperti yang kita ketahui saat ini , Indonesia sudah memasuki era revolusi 4.0 yang mana pada era tersebut memiliki pengaruh besar terhadap perubahan yang terjadi di semua bidang. Termasuk dalam bidang pendidikan khususnya, perubahan yang terjadi di dunia pendidikan saat ini begitu pesat dengan ditinggalkannya metode belajar yang masih menggunakan cara konvensional. Mengerjakan tugas dengan buku, komunikasi tatap muka, mengumpulkan assignment dalam bentuk hardcopy, yang tentunya akan menyebabkan banyak kerugian dalam jangka waktu tertentu, seperti banyak assignment yang lama tertimbun dan sulit untuk ditemukan ketika dibutuhkan. Metode tersebut tentunya dianggap sebagai cara yang membosankan dan membuang banyak waktu, di mana mahasiswa tidak dapat mengeksplorasi dalam proses pembelajaran yang akan memakan waktu lama untuk melakukan pencarian manual untuk jumlah file yang telah dikumpulkan. Pada saat ini penerapan metode pembelajaran dengan konsep menata banyak laporan pengerjaan assignment dalam sebuah website content management system. Metode pembelajaran ini dibuat untuk memaksimalkan cara menata laporan assignment mahasiswa guna efisiensi manajemen waktu, oleh karena itu metode pembelajaran ini dapat diterapkan sebagai manajemen pendidikan di pendidikan tinggi. Diharapkan dengan adanya metode ini dapat meningkatkan manajemen waktu dalam belajar sehingga memotivasi untuk mengeksplorasi kemampuan dalam proses pembelajaran yang ada.
