The expansion of computer networks has at the same time given impetus to the distance learning environments. E-learning systems are also advanced and more efficient. However, these platforms offer such complex teaching functionalities that designers find themselves poorly equipped to succeed in their engineering processes. This article presents a tool that makes it easier for designers to produce educational content according to the Competency-Based Approach (CBA). We propose an implementation of the CBA after its modeling via ontology. Our module can be grafted to any author system oriented pedagogy based skills. We have advocated for Service for Oriented Architecture as a software solution to model our business process that consists of a set of interconnected services that are modeled and implemented. The proposed system is the result of a coordina-tion of, services, incorporating the order of competences explained by a distance education, which integrates and interacts according to an orchestration plan.

Digital technologies increase the impact on society, economy and education every day. Schools gradually penetrate the technologies of virtuality and complemented reality; teachers must be prepared not only for their understanding, but also for their use. Currently, mixed learning becomes more popular in educational institutions, but not all teachers understand the essence of this concept. A generalized analysis of domestic scholars has shown that the notion of "mixed learning" relates to such concepts as "learning process", "learning system", "educational technology", "educational methodology", "combination of methods", "modernization tool", etc. On the basis of the analysis of literature on the concept of "mixed learning" in foreign and domestic researchers, the author presents her own definition, discloses the main components of mixed learning and its benefits in organizing educational activities in institutions of general secondary education; a scheme of combining traditional and e-learning in a mixed one is prepared. Digital technologies have a significant impact on the nature, the form of training, the kind of activity of students, allow the implementation of fundamentally new forms and methods of learning, and, as a consequence, increase the efficiency of educational process in a digital society. Before higher education there is the task of training specialists who can use a computer for the organization of interactive training and testing, video conferencing, participation in telecommunication projects, webinars, forums, etc. It is noted that modern teacher has to develop independently educational content in text, video, multimedia and hypermedia format, to use digital and educational resources, to set up educational content management systems and to organize training with the use of the Internet and its services.

The purpose of the present work is to study whether an online learning environment for distance learning that we have created using self-regulated learning in collaborative learning environments can help teachers in learning the WordPress platform. The tutorial was designed and implemented on the WordPress content management platform. The total number of trainees who attended and completed all the laboratory activities was 81 persons. In the present study, data were collected using Wordpress platform statistics, results from educational platform users' activities, and three research tools. The research findings showed that the e-learning environment we created using self-regulated learning in collaborative learning environments by utilizing the WordPress platform can enhance the factors and dimensions of self-regulated learning as well as collaborative learning. trainees. The tools of the online environment of the WordPress platform related to self-regulated learning and used by trainees are videos, forums, discussion groups and teaching materials. Finally, we found that the online learning environment can meet the educational needs of the learners in relation to the classroom teaching, can contribute to a better distribution of the lesson time and, in addition, enhance the learning outcomes of the learners.

The article substantiates the role of the digital transformation of higher education in Ukraine in the era of the fourth industrial revolution. There was proven the need to develop the strategy of the university education digital transformation, as well as the formation of new information and communication competencies. According to the authors, the strategy of digital transformation of the university education system has to include the modernization of corporate IT architecture management, which should be implemented as a cloud-based platform. The authors analysed the main possible directions of the educational services transformation and the accompanying business processes. The use of blockchain technology for the educational content management module construction is proposed. The integration of the educational content management modules of different Ukrainian universities should become the basis for creating a global cloud-based platform for higher education.

This chapter argues that e-learning innovation is best done in an environment that allows for small scale experimentation and development and that this can be made more difficult in an environment that prioritises large scale e-learning systems (i.e., virtual learning environments and content management systems). These larger systems tend to function more as systems for the control and regulation of knowledge production and management, as well as being very resource hungry. The chapter discusses e-learning activities in the Open University (UK), in particular those of the MA in Online and Distance Education programme in the Institute of Educational Technology. This is a case study of e-learning innovation in what has been described as an industrial production model of university education.

The fact that people behave and learn in a different pace requires individual differences to be properly considered in the teaching/learning process. Among several cognitive theories that could be used for this purpose, a promising one is to explore the use of students' learning styles (LSs), with several research studies indicating that their use has positive impacts on learning outcomes. At the same time, Ubiquitous Learning Environments (ULEs) have the potential to make the multimedia authoring of Learning Objects (LOs) an automated process, resulting on even larger educational content repositories and increasing the need for more adequate presentation strategies to students. This article presents an approach for creating and personalizing LOs through a probabilistic proposal of the Felder and Silverman Learning Styles Model. A prototype of the proposed model was integrated into a ubiquitous educational platform and experimented in real settings. Results indicate the existence of correlations between different types of interactions carried out by students and their respective LSs.
