This study developed an evaluation model of freeway traffic safety facilities system. Firstly, an evaluation system of freeway traffic safety facility was proposed. Secondly, an evaluation model was proposed based on attribute recognition theory. And the evaluation result was identified according to the attribute measure value of single index and the comprehensive attribute measure value of multiple indexes as well as the confidence criterion. Thirdly, the weight of each indicator was decided by variation coefficient. Finally, A case of TAI-GAN freeway (K1+242~K3+259 segment) was conducted to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the model.

To study the problem of highway traffic safety in cold regions, a thorough statistical analysis using traffic accident historical data is used to evaluate the influencing factors on highway traffic safety. A road traffic safety indicator system for cold regions is developed to evaluate the weight of these influence factors, such as driver performance, vehicle capacity, road condition, and general impact of the traffic environment. An index system of highway traffic safety influencing factors for cold regions is developed, and an evaluation model for traffic road safety influencing factors in cold regions based on attribute recognition theory is proposed. The weight of the model is determined using an analytic hierarchy process combined with expert scoring. The evaluation model is based on single-index attribute measure values and multi-index comprehensive attribute measurement values, using the confidence criterion to identify the influence of road traffic safety factors on road traffic safety in cold regions. In addition, the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used for comparative evaluation, and the evaluation results were consistent and verified the correctness and feasibility of the attribute recognition model. Results showed that the evaluation system was in good agreement with actual traffic conditions in cold regions.

The aim of this paper is to propose an attribute recognition model, so that it can be used to simultaneously estimate the public transit network system. Based on the analysis of a variety of factors influencing the public transit network, quantitative research has been conducted with reference to the attribute recognition theory in order to make scientific decision‐making. On the basis of defining attribute measure, this paper presents the attribute recognition model suggesting the attribute recognition theory that can be used to evaluate the public transit network. The reliability of the new method can be explained using real data of the survey on the public transit network in China. The applied results offer scientific reference for instructing and controlling urban traffic by the Government. The main advantages of the new model are in contexts where internal linkage and shared inputs between activities can be considered. The structure of this mode is more realistic than that of the conventional one.

Highway is the primary foundation establishment of a city. Exact and timely evaluation for pavement condition plays an important role in keeping trafic flowing and safe, reducing accident, and bringing into play the estabhsh function of roadways. Base on the attribute recognition theory which makes efect identification and analysis for things, the attribute recognition model of evaluation for pavement condition is discussed, and the power weight is developed with the entropy method, which avoids the subjectivity and increases the reliability. This model introduced a simple and efective appraisal method of highway pavement condition.
