The introduction of Industry 4.0 has increased the focus on a number of technologies. These technologies also help realize the vision for intelligent cities. Furthermore, there are already discussions of Industry 5.0. One emerging aspect of Industry 5.0 is human-robot co-working. With the help of artificial intelligence, the internet of things paradigm, Industry 4.0, and Industry 5.0 visions, there will be two predominant types of systems interfacing with people in intelligent cities. These are robotic and ambient intelligence systems. The increasing deployment of these will help make cities even smarter. However, we need to see advancements in a number of relevant key technologies, including power and networking technologies. In this chapter, first, the authors briefly discuss Industry 4.0, Industry 5.0, and intelligent cities paradigm, as well as robotic and ambient intelligence systems. Then, they focus on developing trends in power and networking technologies.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is an establishment with sensors, base station, gateway, and network servers. IoT is an efficient and intellectual system that minimizes human exertion as well as right to use to real devices. This method also has an autonomous control property by which any device can control without any human collaboration. IoT-based automation has become very reasonable and it has been applied in several sectors such as manufacturing, transport, health care, consumer electronics, etc. In WSN’s smaller energy consumption sensors are expected to run independently for long phases. So much ongoing researches on implementing routing protocols for IoTbased WSNs.Energy consciousness is an essential part of IoT based WSN design issue. Minimalizing Energy consumption is well-thought-out as one of the key principles in the Expansion of routing protocols for the Internet of things. In this paper, we propose a Location based Energy efficient path routing for Internet of things and its applications its sensor position and clustering based finding the shortest path and real time implementation of Arduino based wireless sensor network architecture with the ESP8266 module. Finally, analyze the principles of Location-based energy-efficient routing and performance of QoS parameters, and then implemented automatic gas leakage detection and managing system.

The technology of the Internet of Things (IoT) has attracted highly attention of academia, industry, and news media. There are still many open issues in the definition, internal principles, architectures and system models of the IoT. Through the analysis of current technical materials, we first analyze three basic concepts and features of the IoT. Then we introduce the architecture composed of three layers of the IoT. Furthermore we summarize the key technologies of the IoT. Finally several development proposals are suggested for the IoT.

At present, the internet of things has no standard system architecture. According to the requirements of universal sensing, reliable transmission, intelligent processing and the realization of human, human and the material, real-time communication between objects and things, the internet needs the open, hierarchical, extensible network architecture as the framework. The sensation equipment safe examination platform supports the platform through the open style scene examination to measure the equipment and provides the movement simulated environment, including each kind of movement and network environment and safety management center, turning on application gateway supports. It examines the knowledge library. Under this inspiration, this article proposes the novel security model based on the sparse neural network and wavelet analysis. The experiment indicates that the proposed model performs better compared with the other state-of-the-art algorithms.

The purpose is to construct smart park platform by using the Internet of Things technology, to realize the access of intelligent systems and equipment within park, and to effectively coordinate the various systems in the park. Taking advantage of the key technologies of Internet of Things and cloud computing, smart park information hardware architecture and technical solutions are put forward, the sensor and wireless Internet of Things are applied to realize the system. The experimental results showed that the system realizes the information sharing, exchange and fusion between the various sensing subsystems, and solves the information islands phenomenon that existed in the past. In conclusion, this system can meet the actual needs of smart park, and provides a certain reference for similar park construction.

In recent years, there has been a remarkable advance in monitoring technologies in many environments, be they urban or rural. These technologies, included in the Internet of Things (IoT) domain, allow remote control and acquisition of data from sensors for their subsequence analysis. All these systems are based on the interaction between sensors and actuators. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to provide a very high level of connectivity between the devices, especially as far as wireless systems are concerned. In this sense, there is a great variety of standards in the market of communication networks oriented to this end. One of the biggest challenges today is to allow inter-operability between these different technologies in order to homogenize this field. In addition to this, it is intended to introduce new communication techniques that can provide certain additional advantages to those already existing. The main idea is the creation of a cellular network where radiofrequency and optical technologies coexist, and whose link with the rest of the world is through long-range and low-consumption wireless technologies. The center of each cell, that is the lighting system, can be powered using solar panels, as can the existing systems in the market. The objective is that these panels are capable of providing the necessary energy to the rest of the necessary systems.
