This chapter introduces the application of an artificial intelligence technique to a mobile educational device in order to provide a learning management system platform that is adaptive to students’ learning styles. The key concepts of the adaptive mobile learning management system (AM-LMS) platform are outlined and explained. The AM-LMS provides an adaptive environment that continually sets a mobile device’s use of remote learning resources to the needs and requirements of individual learners. The platform identifies a user’s learning style based on an analysis tool provided by Felder & Soloman (2005) and updates the profile as the learner engages with e-learning content. A novel computational mechanism continuously provides interfaces specific to the user’s learning style and supports unique user interactions. The platform’s interfaces include strategies for learning activities, contents, menus, and supporting functions for learning through a mobile device.

This study aimed to develop and investigate the impact of the implementation of the Mobile-Learning Management System, which we call elektronik Bimbingan Baca al-Qur’an (e-BBQ, a word in the Indonesian Language), in fostering student’s worship. This research was conducted at Universitas Negeri Malang in the odd semester of the 2018-2019 academic year with ADDIE research design. The implementation stage was carried out with a one-group pretest-posttest design. As a result, the e-BBQ developed was in the form of applications and websites with some menus including Al-Qur'an learning, worship, training, and log in instructor. The evaluation by experts, as well as students and instructors showed that the products developed were suitable for use. e-BBQ has a positive effect; the quality of student’s worship increased significantly after participating in learning by utilizing e-BBQ. e-BBQ is considered to be an interesting medium for learning Islamic religion, able to make learning more enjoyable, and raise the student’s learning motivation

Indonesia's Internet users mostly are high school students. This is an opportunity for education activists to provide learning system that can be accessed anytime and anywhere just similar to regular websites on Internet. Learning environment that is accessible anytime and anywhere is built based on ubiquitous computing. Republic of Korea is a country that has a program to develop ubiquitous city, which one of its service is ubiquitous learning environment. In this study, a literature study about ubiquitous computing, ubiquitous learning environment, its characterics and components, also its possibility to implement on Indonesian schools was conducted. This study shows that ubiquitous learning environment development, with its components are a server providing learning management system software, hotspot access points, smartphones that have an application installed to access the learning management system, and radio frequency identification system, can be done in any education unit that has supporting factors for those components.
