This paper lays emphasis on thedevelopment of low cost controllers for stepper motors in contrast to its resource limitations such as memory size, few I/O pins and computing power compared to High-end designs. The microchip AVR ATtiny45 microcontroller was employed alongside a redesigned (reduced-input pin count) pulse distribution circuit for two H-Bridge drivers. The motor can rotate in both directions as well as possible speed control. The concept of the motor control signals was modeled in Matlab/Simulink, firmware was written in Atmel AVRStudio development environment, while theoverall design was carried out in Proteus software followed by Hardware implementation. Total material cost is about $5 which would be less in commercial production cases.

The NC Teaching Plotter is designed for the practice teaching needs of NC machining, In order to improve current existing practice teaching environment of "many student, less equipment". It explains the NC concept with concise way and demonstrates NC thought by the intuitive operation. In this paper, the design of NC teaching plotter makes interpolation motion between pen and table based on NC program in accordance with the requirement made by user, to draw the graphics by moving the magnet control brush painting through the single chip digital control and the two stepper motor control X, Y two axes feed. The NC teaching plotter which demonstrates more clearly and directly the numerical control idea has high practical value for teaching practice.

In this paper, a new stepper motor control scheme is proposed based on switched linear control technology for better performance of motor torque generation by using an improved decay-loop and switching between high and low voltage at high frequency. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology.

A stepper motor control system is designed based on the stepper motor controller and EP2C5Q208C8. The control system of the host human-computer interaction interface is designed by LabView; through RS232 to communicate with the PC. According to the characteristic of the stepper motor control system , Verilog HDL language program and the software of QuartusII are used to simulate each function modules. The analysis of simulation results and experiment show that using the method of FPGA+LabView can simplify the complexity of the system design and possess a very high stability on the running status. The motor running status can be easily observed in the PC interface.
