Given the scenario of modernization of agriculture and the increase in studies on the use of Internet of things, there was a need for research on both subjects. The present work focuses on understanding the barriers and enablers of adoption IoT in planting vegetables type of culture that has been less deepened in the literature through a theoretical framework that aggregates constructs of models of adoption of technology of individual and organizational character, synthesizing the behavioral, technological, organizational and environmental factors in the context of the agricultural producer, supported by the TOE (TechnologyOrganizationEnvironment) and UTAUT (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology) models. The research is qualitative with a case study by producers, specialists and suppliers. The results inform that the size, knowledge, management level and investment power of the producer impact the adoption of Internet of Things

Quickly evolving modern technologies such as cloud computing, Internet of things, and intelligent data analysis have created great opportunities for better living. The authors visualize the role these technological innovations will play in the healthcare sector as they spearhead a shift in focus from offering better healthcare services only to people with problems to helping everyone achieve a healthier lifestyle. In this chapter, the authors first discuss the existing and potential barriers followed by an in-depth demonstration of a service platform named Wiki-Health that takes advantage of cloud computing and Internet of things for personal well-being data management. It is a social platform, which is designed and implemented for data-driven and context-specific discovery of citizen communities in the areas of health, fitness, and well-being. At the end of the chapter, the authors analyse a case study to illustrate how the Wiki-Health platform can be used to serve a real world personal health training application.

Researches on the Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing have been pervasive in both the academic and industrial world. IoT and cloud computing are seen as cornerstones to digital transformation in the industry. However, restricted by limited resources and the lack of expertise in information and communication technologies, small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have difficulty in achieving digitalization of their business. In this paper, we propose a reference framework for SMEs to follow as a guideline in the journey of digital transformation. The framework features a three-stage procedure that covers business, technology, and innovation, which can be iterated to drive product and business development. A case study about digital transformation taking place in the vertical plant wall industry is detailed. Furthermore, some solution design principles that are concluded from real industrial practice are presented. This paper reviews the digital transformation practice in the vertical plant wall industry and aims to accelerate the pace of SMEs in the journey of digital transformation.

Kata kunci— sistem penjualan, incremental, Internet of Things (IoT), produk pertanian, Kabupaten Bogor Abstract Internet of things (IoT) is a concept that connects computers and electronic devices via the internet and can be controlled remotely. The main concept in Internet of things (IoT) is information systems, internet connections and data storage in cloud computing. This concept has great benefits in the efforts and efforts used to use IoT to be able to compete in the market. Indonesia is a country that is blessed with abundant natural resources. One of the leading commodities is agricultural products. This study aims to help farmers market their products through e-commerce using the IoT Internet of things concept. Research method using incremental method. Incremental to design the product, then implemented, and gradually delay (each module will be added gradually) until the product is finished. The results of this study are to help farmers in Bogor Regency to distribute sales widely, increase revenue and break the sales process. Keywords—sales system, incremental, Internet of Things (IoT), agricultural products, Kabupaten Bogor

Cloud computing is the buzz word in today’s Information Technology. It can be used in various fields like banking, health care and education. Some of its major advantages that is pay-per-use and scaling, can be profitably implemented in development of Enterprise Resource Planning or ERP. There are various challenges in implementing an ERP on the cloud. In this paper, we discuss some of them like ERP software architecture by considering a case study of a manufacturing company.

These days, the use of Internet technology can be found in almost every sector of human life. One of the advanced Internet technologies is Internet of Things (IoT), that is a technology where devices can communicate via Internet connectivity. It is used in many vital industries like automotive, electricity, home automation, and healthcare. This study aims to implement IoT technology for healthcare sector, i.e. in helping obesity people to pursue their weight-loss program (WLP). The result is a system which consists of a smart weight scale, a mobile application, and food menu recommendation database in order to help obesity people in their WLP program. A trial to some obesity patients is performed to collect data. Index Terms—Internet of things; overweight; weight loss program; food recommendation
