The article deals with the use of a small aviation turboshaft engine for laboratory purposes. This study describes its transformation into an experimental device for research and education. Various constructional, technological and controlling modifications and settings of the gas turbine test stand were carried out and tested on a stationary configuration. The stationary system can be used as a small backup power generator or as a drive unit for a compressor, pump, etc. New control systems, electronic elements and methods of measuring rotations, pressure and temperature are tested for educational and research purposes. The study includes a schematic description of modelling measurements and subsequent numerical evaluation of the thermodynamic characteristics of the cycle in an experimental gas turbine. The laboratory device presented here is, thanks to technological, material and thermodynamic research, suitable for educating and testing the knowledge of future aviation and mechanical engineers. The content of the article is a description of the use of transformed small turboshaft engine into small jet engine by means of experimental testing of unstable work of the radial compressor under laboratory conditions.

AbstractCellulose electro-active paper (EAPap) has attracted much attention as a new smart electronic material to be utilized as mechanical sensors, bio compatible applications and wireless communications. The thin EAPap film has many advantages such as lightweight, flexible, dryness, biodegradable, easy to chemically modify, cheap and abundance. Also EAPap film has a good reversibility for mechanical performance, such as bending movement, under electric field. The main actuation mechanism governed by piezoelectric property can be modulated by material direction and stretching ratio during process. In this paper we present the overview as well as fabrication process of cellulose EAPap as a novel smart material. Also we propose the method to enhance the piezoelectricity, its mechanical and electromechanical properties. In addition, the fabrication of high quality metal patterns with Schottky diode on the cellulose surface is an initiating stage for the integration of the EAPap actuator and electronic components. The integration of flexible actuator and electronic elements has huge potential application including flying magic carpets, microwave driven flying insets and micro-robots and smart wall papers.

The I/О synchronization scheme plays an important role in achieving maximum speed and reliability of data transmission during memory operation. This paper presents the interface architecture of the DDR SDRAM test diagnostic device. It was demonstrated that the proposed interface components provide the formation of a bidirectional synchro signal for gating written and read data when performing test diagnostics of chips and DDR SDRAM memory devices. Compared to traditional methods, the proposed interface components were made on integrated electronic elements, which reduced the size and power consumption. It has been established that the use of a multiphase synchronization system to implement the interface eliminated the use of delay lines, the disadvantages of which are large dimensions and the complexity of changing the delay time. The interface components under consideration are intended for use in test diagnostics devices that have a multiprocessor structure, which increases the speed of forming test actions and reference reactions. The performed functional modeling and debugging of strobe signal generators confirmed the feasibility of the designs. The proposed interface of the test diagnostics device allows performing test diagnostics of modern high-speed chips and semiconductor memory modules at the operating frequency, which increases the reliability of the results obtained. Interface components can be used by manufacturers of test diagnostics tools for modern high-speed storage devices.
