The Program Committee warmly welcomes all our distinguished delegates and guests to attend the 2021 2nd International Conference on Physics and Engineering Mathematics (ICPEM 2021), the Online International Conference to be held on November 13th-14th, 2021. ICPEM is an annual event that focuses on the various state-of-the-art advances and innovations in Applied Physics and Engineering Mathematics. It aims to provide a forum for researchers, engineers and academicians to exchange new ideas and application experiences, establish business or research relations and find global partners for future collaboration in the fields of Physics and Engineering Mathematics. The ICPEM 2021 conference received around 141 submissions from all over the world; all submissions went through a rigorous peer review process where each submitted paper was reviewed by at least two experts from the area. Based on the review reports, 69 papers were selected for oral presentation in the conference and included in the Proceedings of 2021 2nd International Conference on Physics and Engineering Mathematics. On behalf of the Program Committee of the 2021 2nd International Conference on Physics and Engineering Mathematics, we would like to thank all the people who have contributed to the conference this year. In particular, we would like to thank all referees for their review work. We would like to thank the keynote speakers and session chairs for spending their valuable time to support the conference. We also would like to thank all the authors for contributing their papers to the conference. Finally, we are particularly grateful to all the organizers and sponsoring institutions for the generous support they have offered to this conference. We hope and believe that every participant will enjoy the academic atmosphere brought by the contributors of the conference. We look forward to a more successful conference next year.
It is an honor for me to introduce you a list of papers selected from the XVI Congress of ACCA (Asociación Chilena de Control Automático, Chilean Association of Automatic Control), done in Santiago of Chile at the end of 2004, in its 30 years of existence.
Since 1974, ACCA organize Congress (every 2 years), Tutorial Courses for continuing education, Seminars, Workshops, Exposition of Systems and Equipments and our Magazine Automatica and Innovation. All of these activities have results: important influence in all ambits, consolidating to ACCA as a point of meeting of people from industries, from private and public institutions, from the academics world, from suppliers of systems and equipments, and professional from all Latin America . In 1976, ACCA had its first Program Committee to select papers, and its first Proceedings.
This Congress was organized by ACCA, IEEE Chilean Chapter on Control, Robotics and Cybernetics, IFAC and its Technical Committees, and the Universidad de Las Américas, Chile. ACCA is NMO of IFAC since 1984.
ACCA Congress had Keynotes Speakers for Plenary: Dr. François Vernadat from France, Dr. Florin Filip from Romania, Dr. Shimon Nof from USA and Dr. Philippe Dupont, from France. A Round Table was organised to discuss about productivity, interested in Chile and Latin American professionals. The 46 accepted papers selected by the International Program Committee, were presented in Technical Sessions where new ideas, critical comments, and the beginning of cooperation leading to future projects will take place. The papers come from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba and México. The International Program Committee selected 10 papers as the best of this Congress, to be published in “International Journal of Computers, Communications & Control”. The papers are in areas of artificial intelligence, vision, manufacturing, pattern recognition and robotics.
ACCA wants to say thanks to Dr. Florin Filip to permit to show the activities in Chile and Latin America, oriented to improve and to solve our own problems.
It is pleasure to introduce you to this Special Issue Conference dedicated to ACCA in its 30 years.

The International Conference on Advanced Optics & Photonics Research in Engineering (AOPR 2021) (http://www.aopr-conf.com/) held from November 13-14, 2021 in Wuhan, China. Aiming at providing an excellent international academic forum for all the researchers and practitioners, the conference enjoys a wide spread participation among all over the universities and research institutes. It was provide opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and application experiences, to establish business or research relations and to find global partners for future collaboration. Papers and topic concentrates on related fields of Optics and photonics are presented. AOPR 2021 proceeding tends to collect the most up-to-date, comprehensive, and worldwide state-of-art knowledge on Advanced Optics & Photonics Research in Engineering and other related topics. All the accepted papers have been submitted to strict peer-review by 2-3 international expert referees, and selected based on originality, significance and clarity for the purpose of the conference. The conference program is extremely rich, profound and featuring high-impact presentations of selected papers and additional late-breaking contributions. I sincerely hope that the conference would not only show the participants a broad overview of the latest research results on related fields, but also provide them with a significant platform for academic connection and exchange. The Technical Program Committee members have been working very hard to meet the deadline of review. The final conference received over 75 submissions, and 28 papers have been accepted. I would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the keynote speakers, editors, TPC members and organizers for their hard work, precious time and endeavor preparing for the conference. Over the past four decades, the leadership of the American Economic Association (AEA) has increase the number of women and minorities on its program at the annual Allied Social Science Association (ASSA) meetings. There are three reasons to diversifying the participants on the program. First, including women and minorities on the program make the demographic characteristics, or identities, of the meetings’ participants more representative of the demographics of the profession. Second, having more women, people of color and foreign-born economists on the program encourages doubtful members of other minorities to become economists. Third, there is a belief that incorporating a wider range of economists, with different experiences and educational backgrounds, at the meetings will enrich the conversations and spur new ideas. Inclusivity implies an openness and willingness to incorporate different ways of thinking and perspectives. While the ASSA meetings appear to be more diverse with respect to institutional representation and gender, the evidence suggests that there is a structural barrier of hidden beneath the surface of these two demographics that prohibit inclusivity: class as measured by the strength of economists’ top Ph.D. granting institutional connections. To uncover this barrier, this study examines the structure of the ASSA, the diversity of the ASSA Program Committee and the resultant diversity of the AEA program participants over the past 40 years. Findings suggest that increased diversity does not guarantee increased inclusivity.
