The purpose of this research is to provide conceptual and infrastructure tools for Dinas Pariwisata DKI Jakarta to improve their capabilities for evaluating business performance based on market responsiveness. Capturing market responsiveness is the initial research to make industry mapping. Research steps started with secondary research to build data classification system. The second is primary research by collecting the data from market research. Data sources for secondary data were collected from Dinas Pariwisata DKI, while the primary data were collected from survey method using quetionaires addressed to the whole market. Then, analyze the data colleted with multivariate analysis of variance to develop the mapping. The result of cluster analysis distinguishes the potential market based on their responses to the industry classification, make the classification system, find the gaps and how important are they, and the another issue related to the role of the mapping system. So, this mapping system will help Dinas Pariwisata DKI to improve capabilities and the business performance based on the market responsiveness and, which is the potential market for each specific classification, know what their needs, wants and demand from that classification. This research contribution can be used to give the recommendation to Dinas Pariwisata DKI to deliver what market needs and wants to all the tourism place based on this classification resulting, to develop the market growth estimation; and for the long term is to improve the economic and market growth.

The use of cross-laminated lumber (CLT) for building construction has gained interest in the United States (US) and Canada. Although anecdotal market size claims exist, few quantitative studies have estimated the potential market size or discussed the impact of CLT on lumber supply. This paper presents a method to quantify CLT markets and lumber supplies based on data for the Northwest US. The western US was chosen for its early adoption of CLT combined with a long history of commercial timber construction. Structural designs of archetype buildings were combined with projected multifamily residential and commercial building construction to estimate the demand for CLT. These figures were reduced to account for assumptions that address market penetration and population density. In the case study for the Northwest, the total potential market is less than the existing CLT production in western North America. Thus, the demand region was expanded to include the US and Canada west of the Rocky Mountains, resulting in an estimated demand of 800,000 m3/yr by 2030. A regional lumber supply study suggests that the lumber supply will support the existing CLT industry, which utilizes approximately 2% of the selected lumber classifications, with an unknown impact on lumber cost and production.

This article is dedicated to the analysis of the current state and prospects of the financial market development in Russia in the context of formation of the state capitalism model. The authors consider both quantitative positive tendencies and long-term disproportions and risks which are connected with the strengthening of the state’s role in the economy. Special attention is paid to the issues of the quality of the institutional environment and evaluations of the speculative character of the market growth model.

Platforms diffusion is sophisticated because of indirect network effect between two sides; there will be a peak or several peaks of diffusion rate. Platforms diffusion can be divided to two stages: the stage before its take-off of potential market size and the stage after its take-off of potential market size. At the stage before its take-off of potential market size, platforms diffusion on one side has restriction in its diffusion on the other side. At the stage after its take-off of potential market size, platforms diffusion on one side accelerates its diffusion on the other side.

This study contributes to an understanding of locational determinants of FDI in Pakistan. Although there exists a great deal of literature in this area, there is hardly any evidence of such a study in the case of Pakistan. Economy level analyses are carried out to explore the determinants of FDI through multivariate regression analysis. The results of the multivariate regression analyses reveal that market size, relative interest rates and exchange rates are the major determinants of FDI in Pakistan. The variables such as market growth and political instability were consistently insignificant in the analyses. However, mixed findings were revealed by the variables such as consumer goods imports and the political regime in Pakistan.
