This paper depicts the research conducted at a micro-pilot scale on autochthonous cultures in order to develop adequate technological solutions for the treatment of wastewater resulting from shrimp cultures (Palaemonidae) that would ensure the protection of the Black Sea ecosystem and constitute an applicable tool for the development of aquaculture in Romania. The proposed objectives were attained by adopting an integrated system of marine cultures shrimps-mussels-macrophyte algae, followed by a conventional chemical treatment step using aluminium sulphate recovered from metallurgical slags. This system together with wastewater treatment ensures an optimum development of species and a minimum load of pollutants in the aquatic environment.

Flawless paintwork on car body structures does require defect-free sheet metal surfaces. Therefore, mainly inline and manual refinement efforts are made to surface finishing the single car bodies before painting. Targeting productivity and repeat accuracy can make it necessary to automate certain amounts of this labour-intensive process. This paper presents a technological solution for autonomously grinding sheet metal structures as well as detailing an algorithm for calculating the sequence of steps for autonomous grinding.

This paper deals with possible ways of obtaining expanded and combined uncertainty in measurements for four types of GM counters with a same counter?s tube, in cases when the contributors of these uncertainties are cosmic background radiation and induced overvoltage phenomena. Nowadays, as a consequence of electromagnetic radiation, the latter phenomenon is especially marked in urban environments. Based on experimental results obtained, it has been established that the uncertainties of an influenced random variable ?number of pulses from background radiation? and ?number of pulses induced by overvoltage? depend on the technological solution of the counter?s reading system and contribute in different ways to the expanded and combined uncertainty in measurements of the applied types of GM counters.

Libraries all over the world are continually reinventing themselves to meet changing community needs and the increasing opportunities and associated challenges that modern and evolving technologies bring. In response to the current pandemic and to follow the government guidelines about the remote learning programme libraries & librarians face a huge need for real-time information from the faculty, staff member, students and researcher. On another side, financial crisis & cutting budget, unavailability of adequate staff, user awareness etc are the main issues faces by libraries while try to adopt new technologies for accepting the challenges & issues created by this pandemic. On this point, mobile technology, as an economical & affordable technological solution that help libraries to keep abreast of the dynamically changing needs of their clientele and identify the way of delivering user-centred services by surveying the user needs. The current study examines the exponential growth in the mobile communication system, both in terms of technology (generation) & user count, after considering the needs of the user community. In addition, the study sets out the basic steps for introducing a mobile reference service in a library, as well as its future uses and benefits.
