This paper discusses the importance of critical success factors (CSFs) for post occupancy evaluation (POE) of hospital building performance. Recent failures of hospital buildings in delivering the expected service have raised the need for POE of their actual performance. However, POE of hospital building performance is a difficult undertaking and requires a vast amount of resources. Management, competencies, culture and awareness have been recognised as the factors that impede the success of POE projects. This demands the identification of the critical success factors (CSFs) that will enable POE projects to be undertaken without the success-impeding factors aforementioned, hence leading to successful POE projects. Despite the numerous studies on POE, the CSFs for POE have not been investigated. This leads to a knowledge gap of what are the actual CSFs that need to be considered in ensuring the success rate of hospital POE projects. By reviewing various related literatures, this paper attempts to generally look at the possibility of conducting a study on CSFs to ensure the success of hospital POE projects. This paper will eventually review the need for CSFs for POE of hospital building performance.

This paper aims to identify the critical success factors (CSFs) for post occupancy evaluation (POE) of building performance based on literature review. Failures in carrying out POE and achieving the goal of its implementation have been recognised as one of the difficulties in managing POE projects. Despite the numerous studies on POE, the CSFs for POE as a successful project have not been investigated. This leads to a knowledge gap of what are the CSFs that contributes to the success of POE of building performance. Employing NVIVO and content analysis on 63 selected articles, 13 POE critical success factors and 32 sub-factors have been identified. The outcome of this paper will provide detailed review on the need for the development of CSFs for POE of building performance.

This chapter presents results from a large-scale survey of Australian CPA members regarding data quality. The research investigates and reports major stakeholders’ opinions on the importance of critical success factors affecting data quality and the actual performance on each of those factors. The results reveal whether dissimilarly sized organizations differ in the way they measure the importance and performance of critical success factors for data quality in accounting information systems.

Goal: Digitalization is a maior trend in intralogistics, both for academia and for the industry. This paper gives an overview on current intralogistic trends, the critical success factors of digitalization projects in intralogistics and the results of an online survey regarding these trends and success factors. Design / Methodology / Approach: Literature reviews for both intralogistic trends and the success factors of the implementation were validated using an online survey with 105 intralogistic professionals, both from academia and industry. Results: Both trends and success factors could be validated and brought into a ranking regarding their importance. Limitations of the investigation: The online survey had a limited number of respondends and, even though all trends were provided with a short explanation, different interpretations or understandings of trends and success factors might have been present. Moreover, some trends and success factors have a certain overlap and the differences are not always clear. Practical implications: The survey and the description of intralogistic trends and success factors allow practitioners to better understand, structure and prioritize their implementation projects and possibly to increase their success rate. Originality / Value: There are several studies on general logistic trends and a few studies regarding success factors for digitalization, mostly in the field of ERP implementation. The presented research and online survey are a contribution to the specific field of trends and success factors in digitalization of intralogistics.
