Today’s contemporary business world has incorporated Web Services and Web Applications in its core of operating cycle nowadays and security plays a major role in the amalgamation of such services and applications with the business needs worldwide. OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project) states that the effectiveness of security mechanisms in a Web Application can be estimated by evaluating the degree of vulnerability against any of the nominated top ten vulnerabilities, nominated by the OWASP. This paper sheds light on a number of existing tools that can be used to test for the CSRF vulnerability. The main objective of the research is to identify the available solutions to prevent CSRF attacks. By analyzing the techniques employed in each of the solutions, the optimal tool can be identified. Tests against the exploitation of the vulnerabilities were conducted after implementing the solutions into the web application to check the efficacy of each of the solutions. The research also proposes a combined solution that integrates the passing of an unpredictable token through a hidden field and validating it on the server side with the passing of token through URL.

In this paper, we present a distributed collaborative system assisting physicians in diagnosis when processing medical images. This is a Web-based solution since the different participants and resources are on various sites. It is collaborative because these participants (physicians, radiologists, knowledgebasesdesigners, program developers for medical image processing, etc.) can work collaboratively to enhance the quality of programs and then the quality of the diagnosis results. It is intelligent since it is a knowledge-based system including, but not only, a knowledge base, an inference engine said supervision engine and ontologies. The current work deals with the osteoporosis detection in bone radiographies. We rely on program supervision techniques that aim to automatically plan and control complex software usage. Our main contribution is to allow physicians, who are not experts in computing, to benefit from technological advances made by experts in image processing, and then to efficiently use various osteoporosis detection programs in a distributed environment.

Sensor network can be used in a numerous number of applications. However, implementing wireless sensor networks present new challenges compared with theoretical networks. In addition, implementing a sensor network might provide results different from that derived theoretically. Some routing protocols when implemented might fail to perform. In this paper, we implement three routing protocols, namely: Dynamic MANET on-demand, Collection Tree and Dissemination protocols. To compare the performance of these protocols, they are implemented using a Telosb sensor network. Several performance metrics are carried out to demonstrate the pros and cons of these protocols. A telemedicine application is tested in top of the implemented Telosb sensor network at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals Clinic in Saudi Arabia, utilizing Alive ECG sensors.
