ABSTRACT Streptomyces sp. strain MOE7 is a Gram-positive filamentous bacterium isolated from agricultural soil in Columbia, Missouri, USA. Strain MOE7 produces an extracellular polysaccharide with antioxidant and antitumor activities. Through PacBio RSII sequencing, the MOE7 genome was found to be a linear chromosome of 8,399,509 bp with 6,782 protein-coding sequences.

ABSTRACT Here, we report the draft genome sequence of Streptomyces sp. JV178, a strain originating from Connecticut (USA) garden soil. This strain produces the polycyclic tetramate macrolactam compounds clifednamides A and B. The draft genome contains 10.65 Mb, 9,045 predicted protein coding sequences, and several natural product biosynthetic loci.

We report here the complete genome sequence of Streptomyces sp. strain RTd22, an endophytic actinobacterium that was isolated from the roots of the Mexican sunflower Tithonia diversifolia . The bacterium’s 11.1-Mb linear chromosome is predicted to encode a large number of unknown natural products.

ABSTRACT The first complete genome assembly of buffalopox virus isolate Karachi 2005, with a length of 195,630 bp, is presented here. Phylogenetic analysis shows the virus to cluster within Vaccinia species, and the genome contains 177 protein-coding sequences.

ABSTRACT The coding-complete genome sequence of a severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) strain isolated from an Iraqi patient was sequenced for the first-time using Illumina MiSeq technology. There was a D614G mutation in the spike protein-coding sequence. This report is valuable for better understanding the spread of the virus in Iraq.

Here, we report the annotated, near-complete genome sequence of Allorhizobium vitis K377, a phytopathogenic Rhizobiales strain isolated from a grapevine in South Australia. The assembled genome sequence is 6.40 Mb long, with 5,855 predicted protein-coding sequences, 56 tRNAs, and 12 rRNAs, and contains ttuC (tartrate metabolism; chromosomal) and nopaline synthesis, uptake, and catabolic genes (tumor-inducing plasmid-encoded).

ABSTRACT Streptomyces sp. TN58, isolated from a Tunisian soil sample, produces several natural products, including acyl alpha-l-rhamnopyranosides. It possesses a 7.6-Mb linear chromosome. This is, to our knowledge, the first genome sequence of a microorganism known to produce acyl alpha-l-rhamnopyranosides, and it will be helpful to study the biosynthesis of these specialized metabolites.

Dehalococcoides mccartyi strain FL2 couples growth to hydrogen oxidation and reductive dechlorination of trichloroethene and cis- and trans-1,2-dichloroethenes. Strain FL2 has a 1.42-Mb genome with a G+C content of 47.0% and carries 1,465 protein-coding sequences, including 24 reductive dehalogenase genes.
