ABSTRACT Epicoccum nigrum is a common mitosporic fungus of the Didymellaceae (Ascomycota) family known for the production of numerous secondary metabolites. Here, we present the 34.7-Mbp draft genome sequence of strain ICMP 19927 assembled from a range of short-insert and long-insert Illumina libraries.

Nostoc sp. strain KVJ20 was isolated from the symbiotic organs of the liverwort Blasia pusilla. This cyanobacterium has been shown to have broad symbiotic competence, and bacterial extracts have inhibitory effects on cancer cell lines and microbes. An array of genes for the production of secondary metabolites is present.

ABSTRACTBurkholderia pyrrociniaCH-67 was isolated from forest soil as a biocontrol agent to be utilized in agriculture. Here, we report the 8.05-Mb draft genome sequence of this bacterium. Its genome contains genes involved in biosynthesis of secondary metabolites and plant growth promotion, which may contribute to probiotic effects on plants.

Limisphaera ngatamarikiensis NGM72.4T is a thermophilic representative of the class Verrucomicrobiae. Isolated from geothermally heated subaqueous clay sediments from a Ngatamariki hotspring in Aotearoa New Zealand, the 3,908,748-bp genome was sequenced using the Illumina HiSeq 2500 platform. Annotation revealed 3,083 coding sequences, including 3,031 proteins, 3 rRNA genes, and 46 tRNA genes.

ABSTRACT A draft genome of a novel Dictyoglomus sp., NZ13-RE01, was obtained from a New Zealand hot spring enrichment culture. The 1,927,012-bp genome is similar in both size and G+C content to other Dictyoglomus spp. Like its relatives, Dictyoglomus sp. NZ13-RE01 encodes many genes involved in complex carbohydrate metabolism.

ABSTRACT We report here the 3,586,065-bp draft genome of Geobacillus sp. LEMMY01, which was isolated (axenic culture) from a thermophilic chemolitoautotrophic consortium obtained from the site of a burning grass pile. The genome contains biosynthetic gene clusters coding for secondary metabolites, such as terpene and lantipeptide, confirming the biotechnological potential of this strain.

We report the draft genome sequence of a new Clostridium senegalense strain, AGRFS4, which was isolated from a dairy farm environment in the Manawatu region in New Zealand. The genome is 3.98 Mb, with a GC content of 27%. The genome sequence was found to be 86.6% similar to that of the type strain Clostridium senegalense JC122. Until now, no Clostridium senegalense strain from New Zealand has been reported.
