ABSTRACT Staphylococcus epidermidis 1457 is a frequently utilized strain that is amenable to genetic manipulation and has been widely used for biofilm-related research. We report here the whole-genome sequence of this strain, which encodes 2,277 protein-coding genes and 81 RNAs within its 2.4-Mb genome and plasmid.

In 2016, Haloimpatiens lingqiaonensis was described as a bacterial isolate from paper mill wastewater. Previously, no whole-genome sequence was available for this microorganism. Whole-genome sequencing of strain P8956 yielded a 3,295,388-bp genome with a 30.7% G+C content, 2,917 protein-coding genes, and 95 predicted RNA genes.

We report here the isolation, sequencing of the complete closed genome, and annotation of Corynebacterium xerosis strain GS1. This strain was isolated from the liver lesion of a yak in Gansu Province, China. The genome consists of one chromosome with 2,738,835 bp and comprises 2,304 protein-coding genes.

In 2007, Salirhabdus euzebyi was first described as a bacterial isolate from a sea salt evaporation pond. As no genome sequence was previously available for this species, we performed whole-genome sequencing. The chromosome of strain Q1438 was 3,784,443 bp long with 36% G+C content, 3,830 protein-coding genes, and 74 RNA genes.

ABSTRACT Among myxobacteria, the genus Cystobacter is known not only for fruiting body formation but also for formation of secondary metabolites, such as cystobactamids and cystothiazols. Here, we present the complete genome sequence of the Cystobacter fuscus strain DSM 52655, which comprises 12,349,744 bp and 9,836 putative protein-coding sequences.

In this work, we describe a set of features ofCorynebacterium auriscanisCIP 106629 and details of the draft genome sequence and annotation. The genome comprises a 2.5-Mbp-long single circular genome with 1,797 protein-coding genes, 5 rRNA, 50 tRNA, and 403 pseudogenes, with a G+C content of 58.50%.

Combined Nanopore and Illumina whole-genome sequencing of a French Guianan Mycobacterium ulcerans (Buruli ulcer agent) clinical isolate yielded a 5.12-Mbp genome with a 65.5% GC content, 5,215 protein-coding genes, and 51 predicted RNA genes. This publicly available M. ulcerans whole-genome sequence from a strain isolated in South America is closely related to M. ulcerans subsp. liflandii.
