Stenotrophomonas maltophilia is a prevalent nosocomial pathogen with multidrug resistance. Here, we describe the complete genome of S. maltophilia myophage Moby, which shares characteristics with Enterobacteria phage T4 and is closely related to Stenotrophomonas phage IME-SM1. Moby has a 159,365-bp genome with 271 predicted protein-coding genes and 24 predicted tRNAs.

Escherichia coli is a Gram-negative bacterium often found in animal intestinal tracts. Here, we present the genome of the Guernseyvirinae-like E. coli 4s siphophage Snoke. The 44.4-kb genome contains 81 protein-coding genes, for which 33 functions were predicted. The capsid morphogenesis gene in Snoke contains a large intein.

Microbacteriophage Fizzles has a 62,078-bp linear double-stranded DNA genome sequence, predicted to contain 104 protein-coding genes. Fizzles is a Siphoviridae actinobacteriophage isolated from an ant hill soil sample collected in Stephenville, TX. Microbacteriophage Fizzles has >83.6% nucleotide identity with microbacteriophages Squash and Nike.

ABSTRACT The complete genome sequence of the unique virulent bacteriophage BRock, isolated from compost on Streptomyces sp. strain SFB5A, was determined. BRock is a myovirus with a 112,523-bp genome containing a GC content of 52.3%. There were 188 protein-coding genes predicted, including structural and enzymatic proteins, but none predicted for lysogeny. Twenty-nine tRNAs were predicted.
