ABSTRACT We report the draft genome sequence of Gram-negative bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa NA04, isolated from the entomopathogenic nematode Heterorhabditis indica MOR03. The draft genome consists of 54 contigs, a length of 6.37 Mb, and a G+C content 66.49%.

ABSTRACTPantoeasp. strain A4 is a Gram-negative bacterium isolated from theRafflesiaflower. We present here, for the first time, the genome sequence ofRafflesia-associatedPantoeasp. strain A4, which exhibited quorum-sensing activity.

Abstract Serratia marcescens is a Gram-negative bacterium with both environmental and host-associated strains. Pigmentation is reportedly inversely correlated with infection frequency, and prodigiosin is one of Serratia pigments that has medical and industrial applications. Here, we report the draft genome sequence of prodigiosin-hyperproducing Serratia marcescens strain N2, isolated from Cairo, Egypt. The sequence is assembled into 142 contigs, with a combined size of 5,570,793 bp. The assembled genome carries typical S. marcescens genes, with potential prodigiosin-biosynthesizing genes detected.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa TUEPA7472 is extensively drug resistant (XDR) and is a representative Gram-negative rod that is multiresistant toward 4 classes of clinically relevant antibiotics (4MRGN). The 6.8-Mb draft genome sequence of this strain provides insight into these resistance mechanisms and the potential of the strain to produce virulence factors.

ABSTRACTThe Gram-negative bacteriumActinobacillus pleuropneumoniaeis the etiological agent of porcine pleuropneumonia, a respiratory disease that leads to severe economic losses in the swine industry. For years, scientists working with it have lacked a reliable genome sequence for comparison with otherActinobacillusspecies. Here, we report the draft genome sequence ofA. pleuropneumoniaeserotype 7 (strain S-8), isolated from swine lung in China in 1992.

ABSTRACT Riemerella anatipestifer is a Gram-negative bacterium belonging to the family Flavobacteriaceae. It is primarily associated with acute septicemia in younger birds. The R. anatipestifer isolate 17CS0503 described here was isolated from a Peking duck (Anas platyrhynchos domesticus) in Hannover, Germany, in 1999.

Alteromonas spp. are Gram-negative, aerobic, marine bacteria. Here, we report the draft genome sequence of Alteromonas sp. strain KS69, isolated from Narragansett Bay deep water samples. Unpublished preliminary data suggest that KS69 reduces expression of the 3-oxo-C12-HSL-dependent, virulence-associated gene lasB of Pseudomonas aeruginosa PAO1, suggesting that it produces a quorum sensing inhibitor.
