Croceibacter atlanticusHTCC2559T, a marine bacterium isolated from the Sargasso Sea, is a phylogenetically unique member of the familyFlavobacteriaceae. Strain HTCC2559Tpossesses genes related to interaction with primary producers, which makes studies on bacteriophages infecting the strain interesting. Here we report the genome sequence of bacteriophage P2559S, which was isolated off the coast of the Republic of Korea and lytically infects HTCC2559T. Many genes predicted in the P2559S genome had their homologs inBacteroidesphages.

ABSTRACT Burkholderia contaminans SK875 was isolated from the respiratory tract of a pig in the Republic of Korea. Here, we report the genome of B. contaminans SK875, which consists of three circular chromosomes and one plasmid of 8,596,045 bp with 7,727 genes.

ABSTRACT Blochmannia endosymbionts, belonging to Gammaproteobacteria, live in bacteriocytes, which are specialized cells for these bacterial species in the Camponotus genus (carpenter ants). In this announcement, we describe the complete genome sequence of the Blochmannia endosymbiont of Camponotus nipponensis, which originated from a C. nipponensis colony collected in the Republic of Korea.

ABSTRACT Here, we report the complete genome sequence of Vibrio coralliilyticus OCN008, a marine bacterium that infects reef-building coral. Previous sequencing efforts yielded an incomplete sequence (210 contigs). We used Nanopore and Illumina sequencing data to obtain complete sequences of the two circular chromosomes (3.48 and 1.91 Mb) and one megaplasmid (244.69 kb).

Members of the genus Humibacter, from the family Microbacteriaceae, have been isolated from sewage sludge compost, agarwood chips, and various soil samples. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of Humibacter aquilariae BT305, the first genome sequence identified within the genus Humibacter, which was isolated from the small intestine of castrated beef cattle.

Chryseobacterium sp. strain NBC 122, isolated from freshwater of the Nakdong River in the Republic of Korea, was previously characterized as a plant growth-promoting bacterium. Here, we report the genome sequence of Chryseobacterium sp. NBC 122.

Vibrio coralliilyticus RE22 is an indigenous marine pathogen that infects larval bivalve shellfish. This strain is particularly problematic in oyster hatcheries, where it causes high larval mortality.

Here, we present the genome sequence and annotation of HV4-6-C5C, a bacterial strain isolated from a mesophilic two-stage laboratory-scale leach bed biogas reactor system. Strain HV4-6-C5C may represent a new genus of the family Bacteroidaceae and may have a key role in acidogenesis and acetogenesis steps during anaerobic biomass digestion.

Vibrio natriegens is a fast-growing marine bacterium of interest for biotechnology applications. Here, we describe the isolation and genome annotation of V. natriegens podophage Phriendly. Among the 72 predicted coding genes and 1 tRNA, Phriendly’s 50,218-bp genome has low sequence identity to known phages.
