ABSTRACT Early childhood exposure to a farming environment has been found to be protective against asthma and other atopic disorders. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis G121, which was isolated from the kitchen of a farm in Bavaria (Germany) and is recognized for its allergy-protective properties. It could be assembled into one circular chromosome, three circular plasmids, and one linear plasmid.

ABSTRACT Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis G50 is a strain with immunostimulating activity, isolated from Napier grass ( Pennisetum purpureum ). We determined the complete genome sequence of this strain using the PacBio RS II platform. The single circular chromosome consists of 2,346,663 bp, with 35.03% G+C content and no plasmids.

Rhodococcus erythropolis X5 is a psychrotrophic (cold-adapted) hydrocarbon-degrading bacterium, as it showed effective n-alkane destruction at low positive temperatures. Here, the genome of strain X5 was completely sequenced; it consists of a 6,472,161-bp circular chromosome (62.25% GC content) and a 526,979-bp linear plasmid, pRhX5-526k (62.37% GC content).

Lactobacillus brevis strain 100D8 was isolated from rye silage and showed rapid acidification ability in vitro and antifungal activity against mycotoxin-producing fungi. We report here the complete genome sequence of L. brevis strain 100D8, which has a circular chromosome (2,351,988 bp, 2,304 coding sequences [CDSs]) and three plasmids (45,061 bp, 57 CDSs; 40,740 bp, 40 CDSs; and 39,943 bp, 57 CDSs).

The complete genome sequence of Streptococcus pneumoniae strain Rx1, a Hex mismatch repair-deficient standard transformation recipient, was obtained by combining Nanopore and Illumina sequencing technologies. The genome consists of a 2.03-Mb circular chromosome, with 2,054 open reading frames and a GC content of 39.72%.

Clostridium limosum can be found in soil and the intestinal tract of animals. In 2014, C. limosum was isolated from a suspected blackleg outbreak in cattle in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. We present a complete genome sequence of a C. limosum strain represented by a circular chromosome and three plasmids.

The genome of Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis bv. diacetylactis SD96, a strain used for cheese production, is presented. SD96 is refractory to phage attack, which is a desired property for starter bacteria. Its 10 plasmids provide industrially important traits, such as lactose and citrate metabolism, proteolytic activity, and phage resistance.

ABSTRACT Streptococcus salivarius DB-B5 was isolated from the supragingival plaque of a healthy female subject. The complete 2.3-Mb genome consists of one circular chromosome, two circular plasmids (including a megaplasmid), and one linear phage-like episome. The genome possesses two separate loci encoding bacteriocins.
