Lysobacter sp. strain BMK333-48F3 is known primarily for its production of the antibiotically active tripropeptins. Here, we report its draft genome sequence, which will give insight into the biosynthesis of tripropeptins and enable genome mining for further secondary metabolites.

Streptomyces sp. TP-A0871 produces the polyene macrolactam heronamide C. Here, we report its draft genome sequence to get insight into heronamide biosynthesis and genome-mining for novel secondary metabolites of polyketide and nonribosomal peptide classes. The genome encodes over nine orphan gene clusters for polyketide and/or nonribosomal peptide syntheses.

Here, we report the draft genome sequence of strain NBRC 16556, deposited as Streptomyces hygroscopicus subsp. hygroscopicus into the NBRC culture collection. An average nucleotide identity analysis confirmed that the taxonomic identification is correct. The genome sequence will serve as a valuable reference for genome mining to search new secondary metabolites.

Here, we report the draft genome sequence of Aspergillus calidoustus (strain SF006504) . The functional annotation of A. calidoustus predicts a relatively large number of secondary metabolite gene clusters. The presented genome sequence builds the basis for further genome mining.

ABSTRACT Aquimarina sp. strain I32.4 (formerly Aquimarina sp. ‘ homaria ’) is a putative pathogen involved in epizootic shell disease in the American lobster ( Homarus americanus ). We report here the draft genome sequence for Aquimarina sp. strain I32.4 and describe virulence factors that may provide insight into its mechanism of pathogenicity.

Phytoplasmas are bacterial plant pathogens with devastating impact on agricultural production worldwide. In eastern Africa, Napier grass stunt disease causes serious economic losses in the smallholder dairy industry. This draft genome sequence of “ Candidatus Phytoplasma oryzae” strain Mbita1 provides insight into its genomic organization and the molecular basis of pathogenicity.

Nostoc sp. strain KVJ20 was isolated from the symbiotic organs of the liverwort Blasia pusilla. This cyanobacterium has been shown to have broad symbiotic competence, and bacterial extracts have inhibitory effects on cancer cell lines and microbes. An array of genes for the production of secondary metabolites is present.
