This article analyzes the product of Salman Harun's Qur'anic  interpretation with  Facebook  as the medium. As one of the senior professors who pursue the field of interpretation, he has managed to follow the times by utilizing internet technology. There are two focus areas in the study; the first aspect of the sense of Indonesian tafsir attached to the self of Salman Harun, the two aspects of the novelty of discourse that became the basic character of social media. Both aspects are interesting to be studied with a hermeneutic approach. Given that  the  methodological problem that often arises from the hermeneutic approach is the context of the interpreter that is difficult to trace accurately, then this article finds its relevance to the case of Salman Harun's interpretation which uses the facebook media as the actualization of its interpretation product.

Lately, the concept of the methodology of interpreting the texts of the Qur’an is not only struggling from the history of the Companions and the Tabi'in but in understanding the Word of God it is necessary to have dialectics with the interpretation of the text with the term hermeneutics. Some contemporary interpretations make a new study of the Qur’an using the hermeneutic approach. Specifically, this paper seeks to contribute to providing concepts related to hermeneutics as a textual interpretation methodology. There are some things that are very urgent to be studied in this discussion, including, First, hermeneutics as a dialectic of text interpretation. Second, the methodology of the hermeneutic approach in understanding texts. Third, the application of hermeneutics as a text interpretation. Thus, the concept of hermeneutics in the texts is to find the Qur'anic values contextually behind the meaning of the text of the verse.

The article focuses on the problems of translation in the field of hermeneutics, understood as a methodology in the activity of an interpreter, the doctrine of the interpretation of texts, as a component of the transmission of information in a communicative aspect. The relevance of the study is caused by the special attention of modern linguistics to the under-researched issues of hermeneutics related to the problems of transmission of foreign language text semantics in translation. The process of translation in the aspect of hermeneutics is regarded as the optimum search and decision-making process, which corresponds to a specific set of functional criteria of translation, which can take many divergent forms. The translator carries out a number of specific translation activities: the choice of linguistic means and means of expression in the translation language, replacement and compensation of nonequivalent units. The search for the optimal solution itself is carried out using the “trial and error” method. The translator always acts as an interpreter. Within the boundaries of a individual utterance, it must be mentally reconstructed as conceptual situations, the mentally linguistic actions of the author, which are verbalized in this text.
