We extend the work done for cosmic strings on the perturbative calculation of vacuum polarization of a massless field in the space–time of multiple cosmic strings and show that for a more general class of locally flat metrics, the one-loop calculation does not introduce any new divergences to the vev of the energy of a scalar particle or a spinor particle.

In this work, we give a general class of solutions of the spinning cosmic string in Einstein's theory of gravity. After treating same problem in Einstein–Cartan (EC) theory of gravity, the exact solution satisfying both exterior and interior space–times representing a spin fluid moving along the symmetry axis is presented in the EC theory. The existence of closed timelike curves in this space–time are also examined.

An explicit evaluation of the D = 4+1 quantum electrodynamics (QED) vacuum polarization tensor is presented. The calculations are made preserving all the intrinsic arbitrariness involved in such type of problem. The internal momenta are assumed arbitrary in order to preserve the possibility of dependence on such kind of choice, due to the superficial degree of divergence involved. An arbitrary scale is introduced in the separation of terms having different degrees of divergences in order to preserve the possibility of scale ambiguities. In the performed steps the effects of regularizations are avoided by using an adequate strategy to handle the problem of divergences in Quantum Field Theory perturbative calculations. Given this attitude it is possible to get clean and sound conclusions about the consistency requirements involved in perturbative calculations D = 4+1 space–time dimension. At the final a symmetry preserving and ambiguities free result is obtained allowing the renormalization of the photon propagator at the one-loop level. The simplicity added to the general character of the adopted procedure allows us to believe that the referred strategy can be used without restrictions of applicability in perturbative calculations made in theories formulated in a space–time having extra dimensions relative to the physical one (D = 3+1) producing consistent results, in odd and even dimensions, in spite of the nonrenormalizable character.

The results of this study indicate that the PayTren tiered sales system in Palu has almost fulfilled the sales criteria in sharia economic law such as the fulfillment of pillars and requirements in selling and buying, there are no elements of maisir, immorality, or money games, there is no excessive sale of products that can harm. consumers, companies also provide ujrah according to the real work done by business partners, and there is no passive bonus. However, there are still elements of usury and gharar and the company has not yet fully provided comfort for its partners who make losses on the one hand.It is hoped that the company will pay more attention to and improve technicians in solving problems experienced by its partners and the company must also maintain a tiered sales system that is truly sharia in order to avoid buying and selling transactions that are prohibited by sharia. The partners are also expected to be able to maintain the good name of the company by always following the guidelines that have been made by the company and the regulations that apply in Indonesia.

This paper presents the findings of a study carried out in the academic year 2014-2015 at the faculty of Education of the University of Murcia with first year degree students in Primary Education studying Research and ICT. The study started with the application of the DIGCOM questionnaire to analyze the digital competences of 134 students. The questionnaire served as an initial task to help students reflect on their digital competences. The subject was developed around tasks which adopted a transversal approach and used the nature of the contents itself to direct and improve students’ digital competencies. Finally, the initial questionnaire was reformulated and run in order to ascertain the students’ self-perception of their improvement in these competencies through the tasks they had performed.

Below we present the tasks carried out, the organization of each subject and the most relevant data regarding the self-perception of digital competencies of the future primary school teachers enrolled at the University of Murcia. The data reveal, on the one hand, that the students participating consider themselves to be competent in the most basic aspects of digital competencies and, on the other, their perception that the work done in the subject has helped them quite a lot in improving their competencies.

AbstractThe interpretation of Kant's Critical philosophy as a version of traditional idealism has a long history. In spite of Kant's and his commentators’ various attempts to distinguish between traditional and transcendental idealism, his philosophy continues to be construed as committed (whether explicitly or implicitly and whether consistently or inconsistently) to various features usually associated with the traditional idealist project. As a result, most often, the accusation is that his Critical philosophy makes too strong metaphysical and epistemological claims. In his The Revolutionary Kant, Graham Bird engages in a systematic and thorough evaluation of the traditionalist interpretation, as part of perhaps the most comprehensive and compelling defence of a revolutionary reading of Kant's thought. In the third part of this special issue, the exchanges between, on the one hand, Graham Bird and, on the other, Gary Banham, Gordon Brittan, Manfred Kuehn, Adrian Moore and Kenneth Westphal focus on specific aspects of Bird's interpretation of Kant's first Critique. More exactly, the emphasis is on specific aspects of Bird's interpretation of the Introduction, Analytic of Principles and Transcendental Dialectic of Kant's first Critique. The second part of the special issue is devoted to discussions of particular topics in Bird's construal of the remaining significant parts of the first Critique, namely, of the Transcendental Aesthetic and the Analytic of Concepts. Written by Sorin Baiasu and Michelle Grier, these articles examine specific issues in these two remaining parts of the Critique, from the perspective of the debate between the traditionalist and revolutionary interpretation. The special issue begins with an Introduction by the guest co-editors. This provides a summary of the exchanges between Bird and his critics, with a particular focus on the debates stemming from the differences between traditional and revolutionary interpretations of Kant.

On the one hand, Chinese traditions of philosophy are famous for emphasizing that things are changes, that reality is filled with processes rather than substances. This philosophy was present at least from the Yijing onward and was developed in diverse ways by Confucians, Daoists, and then Chinese Buddhists. But there has not been a similar rich development of the idea of eternity, that nontemporal context within which change can be recognized and measured. This article argues, first, that change presupposes an ontological context of eternity and, second, that eternity so conceived can be experienced and even interpreted in terms of the Chinese traditions.
