We study the signal rates of the second lightest CP-even Higgs boson, [Formula: see text], of the NMSSM produced in gluon fusion, in association with bottom quarks and in association with top quarks, which is not the SM-like Higgs boson, at the LHC. We evaluate the production rates of [Formula: see text] in the SM fermionic and bosonic final states in addition to [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] final states. It is observed that the size of the signal rates in some regions of the NMSSM parameter space is quite large and that could help extracting [Formula: see text] signals at the LHC through a variety of decay channels.

Latest results of searches for heavy Higgs bosons in fermionic final states are presented using the CMS detector at the LHC. Results are based on pp collision data collected at centre-of-mass energies of 8 and 13 TeV which have been interpreted according to different extensions of the Standard Model such as MSSM, 2HDM, and NMSSM. These searches look for evidence of other scalar or pseudoscalar bosons, in addition to the observed SM-like 125 GeV Higgs boson, and set 95% confidence level upper limits in fermionic final states and benchmark models explored. The talk reviews briefly the major results obtained by the CMS Collaboration during Run I, and presents the most recent searches performed during Run II.

The most recent measurements of the Higgs H(125) boson in several final states, including decays to bosons, fermions, and the associated production of a Higgs boson with top quarks, are reviewed. Results have been obtained analysing the protonproton collision data collected with the CMS detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in 2016, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb-1 at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV.

We study the a 1 a 1 and Z a 1 decay channels of the next-to-lightest CP-even Higgs boson h 2 of the NMSSM at the LHC, where the h 2 is produced in gluon fusion. It is found that while the h 2 discovery is impossible through the latter channel, the former one in the 4 τ final state is a promising channel to discover the h 2 with masses up to around 250 GeV at the LHC. Such a discovery of the h 2 is mostly accompanied with a light a 1 , which is a clear evidence for distinguishing the NMSSM from the MSSM since such a light a 1 is impossible in the MSSM.

We study the [Formula: see text] decay mode of a light CP-odd Higgs boson of the NMSSM, [Formula: see text], produced in bottom-gluon fusion at the LHC. It is shown that for high luminosity of the LHC, there exist regions of the NMSSM parameter space that can be exploited to detect the [Formula: see text] through this channel.

We consider the constraints, provided by the LHC results on Higgs boson decay into 2 photons and its production via gluon fusion, on the previously proposed Standard Model (SM) strongly bound state S of six top quarks and six antitop quarks. A correlation is predicted between the ratios [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] of the Higgs diphoton decay and gluon production amplitudes, respectively to their SM values. We estimate the contribution to these amplitudes from one-loop diagrams involving the 12 quark bound state S and related excited states using an atomic physics based model. We find two regions of parameter space consistent with the ATLAS and CMS data on [Formula: see text] at the three sigma level: a region close to the SM values [Formula: see text] with the mass of the bound state [Formula: see text][Formula: see text]GeV and a region with [Formula: see text] corresponding to a bound state mass of [Formula: see text][Formula: see text]GeV.

Abstract In this work we study the collider phenomenology of color-octet scalars (sgluons) in minimal supersymmetric models endowed with a global continuous R symmetry. We systematically catalog the significant decay channels of scalar and pseudoscalar sgluons and identify novel features that are natural in these models. These include decays in nonstandard diboson channels, such as to a gluon and a photon; three-body decays with considerable branching fractions; and long-lived particles with displaced vertex signatures. We also discuss the single and pair production of these particles and show that they can evade existing constraints from the Large Hadron Collider, to varying extents, in large regions of reasonable parameter space. We find, for instance, that a 725 GeV scalar and a 350 GeV or lighter pseudoscalar can still be accommodated in realistic scenarios.

Abstract We consider light neutralinos of mass about 1 GeV, produced from τ lepton rare decays at Belle II, in the context of R-parity-violating (RPV) supersymmetry. With large and clean samples of τ leptons produced at the Belle II experiment, excellent sensitivity to such light neutralinos with the exotic signatures of displaced vertices is expected. We focus on two benchmark scenarios of single RPV operators, $$ {\lambda}_{311}^{\prime }{L}_3{Q}_1{\overline{D}}_1 $$ λ 311 ′ L 3 Q 1 D ¯ 1 and $$ {\lambda}_{312}^{\prime }{L}_3{Q}_1{\overline{D}}_2 $$ λ 312 ′ L 3 Q 1 D ¯ 2 , which induce both the production and decay of the lightest neutralino. For the reconstruction of a displaced vertex, we require at least two charged pions in the final states. We perform Monte-Carlo simulations for both signal and background events, and find that Belle II can explore regions in the parameter space competitive with other probes. In particular, for the $$ {\lambda}_{311}^{\prime } $$ λ 311 ′ scenario, it can put limits up to two orders of magnitude stronger than the current bounds.

Abstract We present results for the two-loop helicity amplitudes entering the NLO QCD corrections to the production of a Higgs boson in association with a Z -boson in gluon fusion. The two-loop integrals, involving massive top quarks, are calculated numerically. Results for the interference of the finite part of the two-loop amplitudes with the Born amplitude are shown as a function of the two kinematic invariants on which the amplitudes depend.
