We calculate the width (Γ) and differential energy distributions of [Formula: see text] in E6-based models containing one extra U(1). For a fixed Z′ mass, Γ is strongly growing with increasing mH, while for a fixed mH it decreases strongly with increasing mz′. The energy distribution of Z has a pronounced maximum tending to larger energies of Z with increasing mH, for a fixed mz′. In certain parameter ranges, Γ is larger than the width of the [Formula: see text] decay mode.

Abstract The rare three-body decay of a Higgs boson to a lepton-antilepton pair and a photon is starting to become experimentally accessible at the LHC. We investigate how higher-order QCD corrections to the dominant gluon-fusion production process impact on the fiducial cross sections in this specific Higgs decay mode for electrons and muons. Corrections up to NNLO QCD are found to be sizeable. They are generally uniform in kinematical variables related to the Higgs boson, but display several distinctive features in the kinematics of its individual decay products.

We examine the potential signatures of the Higgs boson when it decays into a tau–lepton pair. We show that with the proper identification of the tau-jet, this decay mode can lead to the identification of the Higgs boson over most of the intermediate mass range (MW<MH<2MW).

In this paper, a novel intelligent method to identify gear fault pattern was approached based on morphological filter, harmonic wavelet package and grey incidence. At first, the line structure element was selected for morphological filter to denoise the original signal. Secondly, different gear fault signals were decomposed into eight frequency bands by harmonic wavelet package in three levels; and energy distribution of each band was calculated. Finally, these energy distributions could serve as the feature vectors, the grey incidence of different gear vibration signals was calculated to identify the fault pattern and condition. Practical results show that this method can be used in gear fault diagnosis effectively.

Abstract A search for a heavy Higgs boson H decaying into the observed Higgs boson h with a mass of 125 GeV and another Higgs boson hS is presented. The h and hS bosons are required to decay into a pair of tau leptons and a pair of b quarks, respectively. The search uses a sample of proton-proton collisions collected with the CMS detector at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 137 fb−1. Mass ranges of 240–3000 GeV for mH and 60–2800 GeV for $$ {m}_{{\mathrm{h}}_{\mathrm{S}}} $$ m h S are explored in the search. No signal has been observed. Model independent 95% confidence level upper limits on the product of the production cross section and the branching fractions of the signal process are set with a sensitivity ranging from 125 fb (for mH = 240 GeV) to 2.7 fb (for mH = 1000 GeV). These limits are compared to maximally allowed products of the production cross section and the branching fractions of the signal process in the next-to-minimal supersymmetric extension of the standard model.

The CMS collaboration reported an intriguing [Formula: see text] (local) excess at 96 GeV in the light Higgs-boson search in the diphoton decay mode. This mass coincides with a [Formula: see text] (local) excess in the [Formula: see text] final state at LEP. We briefly review the proposed combined interpretations for the two excesses. In more detail, we review the interpretation of this possible signal as the lightest Higgs boson in the 2 Higgs Doublet Model with an additional real Higgs singlet (N2HDM). We show which channels have the best prospects for the discovery of additional Higgs bosons at the upcoming Run 3 of the LHC.
