Peristaltic transport of a Newtonian incompressible fluid in the presence of applied magnetic field in an inclined channel with slip is investigated. A perturbation method of solution is obtained in terms of wall slope parameter and analytical expressions are derived for average velocity and stream function using Saffman slip condition. The effects of various relevant parameters on average velocity and stream line pattern have been studied. It is found that average velocity increases with slip and decreases with permeability and magnetic parameter.

Purpose This paper aims to intend for investigating the influence of an inclined magnetic field on the peristaltic flow of a couple stress fluid through an inclined channel with heat and mass transfer. Design/methodology/approach Long wavelength and low Reynolds number methodology is actualized for simplifying the highly nonlinear equations. Mathematical expressions of axial velocity, pressure gradient and volume flow rate are obtained. Pressure rise, frictional force and pumping phenomenon are portrayed and symbolized graphically. Exact and numerical solutions have been carried out. The computed results are presented graphically for various embedded parameters. Temperature and concentration profile are also scrutinized and sketched. Findings Results from the current study concluded that the fluid motion can be enhanced by increasing the inclination of both the magnetic field and the channel. Originality/value The elemental characteristics of this analysis is a complete interpretation of the influence of couple stress parameter and inclination of magnetic field on the velocity, pressure gradient, pressure rise and frictional forces.

Peristaltic flow of viscous fluid in an asymmetric inclined channel with heat transfer and inclined magnetic field is examined. The convective boundary conditions have been handled. Complexity of emerging equations is simplified by utilizing long wavelength and low Reynolds number approximation. Variation of emerging parameters embedded in flow system are discussed. It is observed that an increase in Brikman number increases the temperature profile. Further, it is seen that temperature distribution is an increasing function of Biot number at lower wall.

The consequences of double-diffusivity convection on the peristaltic transport of Sisko nanofluids in the non-uniform inclined channel and induced magnetic field are discussed in this article. The mathematical modeling of Sisko nanofluids with induced magnetic field and double-diffusivity convection is given. To simplify PDEs that are highly nonlinear in nature, the low but finite Reynolds number, and long wavelength estimation are used. The Numerical solution is calculated for the non-linear PDEs. The exact solution of concentration, temperature and nanoparticle are obtained. The effect of various physical parameters of flow quantities is shown in numerical and graphical data. The outcomes show that as the thermophoresis and Dufour parameters are raised, the profiles of temperature, concentration, and nanoparticle fraction all significantly increase.

Abstract The stagnation point flow of a non-Newtonian Reiner–Rivlin fluid has been studied in the presence of a uniform magnetic field. The technique of similarity transformation has been used to obtain the self-similar ordinary differential equations. In this paper, an attempt has been made to prove the existence and uniqueness of the solution of the resulting free boundary value problem. Monotonic behavior of the solution is discussed. The numerical results, shown through a table and graphs, elucidate that the flow is significantly affected by the non-Newtonian cross-viscous parameter L and the magnetic parameter M.

In this paper, we study the impacts of variable viscosity , heat and mass transfer on magneto hydrodynamic (MHD) peristaltic flow in a asymmetric tapered inclined channel with porous medium . The viscosity is considered as a function of temperature. The slip conditions at the walls were taken into consideration. SmallReynolds number and the long wavelength approximations were used to simplify the governing equations. A comparison between the two velocities in cases of slip and no-slip was plotted. It was observed that the behavior of the velocity differed in the two applied models for some parameters. Mathematica software was used to estimate the exact solutions of temperature and concentration profiles. The resolution of the equations to the momentum was based on the perturbation method to find the axial velocity, pressure gradient and trapping phenomenon. The influences of the various flow parameters of the problem on these distributions were debated and proved graphically by figures.
