High-accuracy motion tracking of hydraulic systems is of great significance in industrial applications. Nevertheless, dynamic nonlinearity, modeling uncertainty, generalized disturbance, and measurement noise are inevitably existed in hydraulic systems, which severely deteriorates the practical control performance. Aimed at enhancing the motion-tracking accuracy of hydraulic systems, a novel command filtered adaptive backstepping controller with extended state observer is proposed in this article. On the basis of the established system’s nonlinear model, the extended state observer utilizing only position output feedback information is first designed to estimate the system’s unmeasurable states, and time-varying disturbances of the hydraulic system are also obtained for subsequent active disturbance compensation. Next, a second-order command filter is constructed to generate specific command signals and their derivatives, which significantly simplifies the controller design process by avoiding complicated analytical differential calculations in contrast to traditional adaptive backstepping algorithm. Subsequently, with consideration of system’s nonlinearity, parametric uncertainty, and time-varying disturbance, the developed extended state observer and command filter are introduced into the adaptive backstepping design process of the proposed controller, and theoretical stability of the proposed controller is guaranteed via Lyapunov analysis. Finally, the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed controller are demonstrated by comparative experimental results.

In the frame of the Copernicus program of the European Commission, Sentinel-2 is a constellation of 2 satellites with a revisit time of 5 days in order to have temporal images stacks and a global coverage over terrestrial surfaces. Satellite 2A was launched in June 2015, and satellite 2B will be launched in March 2017.<br><br> In cooperation with the European Space Agency (ESA), the French space agency (CNES) is in charge of the image quality of the project, and so ensures the CAL/VAL commissioning phase during the months following the launch. This cooperation is also extended to routine phase as CNES supports European Space Research Institute (ESRIN) and the Sentinel-2 Mission performance Centre (MPC) for validation in geometric and radiometric image quality aspects, and in Sentinel-2 GRI geolocation performance assessment whose results will be presented in this paper. The GRI is a set of S2A images at 10m resolution covering the whole world with a good and consistent geolocation. This ground reference enables accurate multi-temporal registration of refined Sentinel-2 products.<br><br> While not primarily intended for the generation of DSM, Sentinel-2 swaths overlap between orbits would also allow for the generation of a complete DSM of land and ices over 60° of northern latitudes (expected accuracy: few S2 pixels in altimetry). This DSM would benefit from the very frequent revisit times of Sentinel-2, to monitor ice or snow level in area of frequent changes, or to increase measurement accuracy in areas of little changes.

Abstract Although certain speech development milestones are readily observable, the developmental course of speech motor control is largely unknown. However, recent advances in facial motion tracking systems have been used to investigate articulator movements in children and the findings from these studies are being used to further our understanding of the physiologic basis of typical and disordered speech development. Physiologic work has revealed that the emergence of speech is highly dependent on the lack of flexibility in the early oromotor system. It also has been determined that the progression of speech motor development is non-linear, a finding that has motivated researchers to investigate how variables such as oromotor control, cognition, and linguistic factors affect speech development in the form of catalysts and constraints. Physiologic data are also being used to determine if non-speech oromotor behaviors play a role in the development of speech. This improved understanding of the physiology underlying speech, as well as the factors influencing its progression, helps inform our understanding of speech motor control in children with disordered speech and provide a framework for theory-driven therapeutic approaches to treatment.

Abstract. The present study proposed that, unlike prior leader–member exchange (LMX) research which often implicitly assumed that each leader develops equal-quality relationships with their supervisors (leader’s LMX; LLX), every leader develops different relationships with their supervisors and, in turn, receive different amounts of resources. Moreover, these differentiated relationships with superiors will influence how leader–member relationship quality affects team members’ voice and creativity. We adopted a multi-temporal (three wave) and multi-source (leaders and employees) research design. Hypotheses were tested on a sample of 227 bank employees working in 52 departments. Results of the hierarchical linear modeling (HLM) analysis showed that LLX moderates the relationship between LMX and team members’ voice behavior and creative performance. Strengths, limitations, practical implications, and directions for future research are discussed.
