Drilling industry operations heavily depend on digital information. Data analysis is a process of acquiring, transforming, interpreting, modelling, displaying and storing data with an aim of extracting useful information, so that the decision-making, actions executing, events detecting and incident managing of a system can be handled in an efficient and certain manner. This paper aims to provide an approach to understand, cleanse, improve and interpret the post-well or realtime data to preserve or enhance data features, like accuracy, consistency, reliability and validity. Data quality management is a process with three major phases. Phase I is an evaluation of pre-data quality to identify data issues such as missing or incomplete data, non-standard or invalid data and redundant data etc. Phase II is an implementation of different data quality managing practices such as filtering, data assimilation, and data reconciliation to improve data accuracy and discover useful information. The third and final phase is a post-data quality evaluation, which is conducted to assure data quality and enhance the system performance. In this study, a laboratory-scale drilling rig with a control system capable of drilling is utilized for data acquisition and quality improvement. Safe and efficient performance of such control system heavily relies on quality of the data obtained while drilling and its sufficient availability. Pump pressure, top-drive rotational speed, weight on bit, drill string torque and bit depth are available measurements. The data analysis is challenged by issues such as corruption of data due to noises, time delays, missing or incomplete data and external disturbances. In order to solve such issues, different data quality improvement practices are applied for the testing. These techniques help the intelligent system to achieve better decision-making and quicker fault detection. The study from the laboratory-scale drilling rig clearly demonstrates the need for a proper data quality management process and clear understanding of signal processing methods to carry out an intelligent digitalization in oil and gas industry.

It is emphasize in the paper, that because of qualitative change of ecological data and its complexity the analysis and estimation of population parameter is a complex process. Therefore, for ecological data collection, the sampling frame clearly defined distinct and identifiable. More often, sampling frames are imperfect, further different techniques measure of species diversity, evenness, community similarity, dominance indices has been given which can be useful for research scholars.

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of management control systems on the strategy and its impact on business unit performance. Management control system uses lever's control approach consisting of belief system, boundary system, diagnostic control system and interactive control system. The influence and impact of the management control system resulted from previous research studies. This research used meta-analysis method. Meta-analysis is the study of a number of research results in similar problems. The unit of analysis in the study are written documents about the research of management control system in the form of journal articles and research reports taken purposively based on their compatibility with the research theme. Data analysis used is quantitative data analysis with percentage and qualitative data analysis for descriptive analysis result data on 25 research related to management control system. Findings of meta-analysis results based on research objectives, research variables used, population / sample of research, data collection techniques and analysis tools show that management control system lever's of control approach can contribute to the achievement of strategy and impact on business unit performance improvement.

AbstractIn this paper, we present an improved timed communication buoy system (TCBS). The system had a main float with a new mechanical design and a new electronic control system design, and described several modifications made to the autonomous communication float (ACF) of the improved TCBS. To evaluate the performance of this improved TCBS, a sea trial was conducted in the South China Sea from February to May 2015. During the sea trial, one of the ACFs was successfully released from the TCBS's main float and transmitted back the data collected by the dual acoustic Doppler current profilers (ADCPs) onboard. The preliminary data analysis for the local current conditions is also presented in this paper.

AbstractThe quasi-simultaneous measurement of the one-dimensional angular separation of stars on the sky, on both small and large angular scales, rely on the measurements made by the IDT detector, as well as on inputs from the star mapper and attitude control system. This presentation will concentrate on the results of a comparison of the results of the IDT data processing carried out by the FAST and NDAC data analysis teams. The extent to which the intensity and phase measurements agree between the two reductions, and the extent to which the differences are consistent with expected photon noise errors, will be illustrated.
