The domain of the activity is technology for the society whereas the focus is practical computer science for the society. The background of our activity is based on the needs of YPK junior high school in Malang city, Indonesia. The school need to develop computer-based school report card and also daily grade card for teachers. The method for software/application development is spiral model which consist of the cycle of system identification, risk analysis, and enhancement of the prototype to be an operational prototype. Evaluation of the product was based on the Computer System Usability Questionnaire (CSUQ) from IBM. The CSUQ using 5 scale of Likert scale contains three categories: 1) system usefulness (SYSUSE), 2) information quality (INFOQUAL), and 3) interface quality (INTERQUAL). The mean rank’s result in order from the greatest to the lowest is SYSUSE, INTERQUAL, and INFOQUAL, respectively. It was reported that SYSUSE category was superior to INFOQUAL (U = 3369.5, p = 0.0005). Overall, the user satisfaction score is 78.4%, which is in the “worthy” category

Today, technology is rapidly developing in various elements and kinds of society. Withthe use of technology makes the human mindset that manifests into modernization. Thecampus is one place where the student's education to develop the potential that existed to givebirth to students who are creative, crisis, responsible and moral, especially for students. With theuse of campus introduction technology to students will facilitate the learning process. One of theutilization of technology that is now widely used is android. One of them features Android LBS(Location Based Service) is one of the android features used to describe the technology used tofind the location of the device that the user by utilizing satellite facilities. One of the problems ofthe students is the lack of information about the room at Informatics Engineering, University ofPalangkaraya which relates to the subjects in Informatics Engineering. By utilizing the featureLBS (Location Based Service) on android will answer the existing problems so as to facilitatestudents Engineering University of Palangka Raya. The methodology used in development with Prototype According to Pressman, which hasstages of Communication and early data collection, Quick design, Formation of prototype,Evaluation of prototype, Repair prototype and Final Production. At this stage of analysis is madeFlowchart. At this stage of design also made the creation of Unified Modeling Language (UML).The programming languages used are Java, JSON, SQLite.Application of Space Presentation Faculty of Engineering, University of PalangkarayaBased Location Based Service is designed and built using a Prototype Pressman method, withmap plan designed through Google Earth Pro and Edraw Max 7 which is placed on Google MapAPI where data storage is made in online database Firebase and SQLite as local database withthe development of the application created using Android Studio.Implementation of LocationBased Services on Application of Space Presentation Faculty of Engineering, University ofPalangkaraya Based Location Based Service, which applies to the Google Map API with eachpoint of the room made marker that produces radius which varied where if an application userenter into each radius it will produce notification information room containing the subjects thatare in the room so that the lecture-related rooms can be known.

This study developed a web-based social skills intervention system accessible via a tablet/laptop computer which combines differentiated instructions, social stories, multimedia, and animations. This creates an interactive learning environment which (1) allows children to learn social skills repeatedly and pervasively; and (2) promotes teacher/caretaker-parent collaborations to boost the ASD children's social skills acquisition as, a simple logon to the portal enables parents/ caretakers and teachers to view the media prepared by others; track and reinforce the skills a child has learnt at home/ in school, and add his/her social stories which others can view. The prototype evaluation and observation of voluntary participants from the special education school who were treated with differentiated animated social stories demonstrates that digital-based differentiated social story interventions have made the learning of social skills more interactive, appealing and effective compared to the traditional social skill tools.

This chapter presents the elaboration of an ontology-based application called Combine. This application aims to optimize and enhance e-Recruitment processes in the domain of Information Technologies’ staffing services, and especially e-Recruitment processes that use Social Web platforms as a means of sourcing candidates. This chapter will describe the context motivating this development and how the system was designed, from the requirements analysis to the prototype evaluation, revealing the concerns, constraints and opportunities met along the way. All of these factors will be discussed mainly in regards to Computer-Mediated Communication (CMC) and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) theories in order to argue the potential return on investment of the conceptualized semantic e-Recruitment application.

Analysis of geometry and optical properties of solar parabolic trough collectors uses a number of specific techniques that have demonstrated to be useful tools in prototype evaluation. These are based on photogrammetry, flux mapping, ray-tracing, and advanced thermal testing. They can be used to assure the collector quality during construction and for acceptance tests of the solar field. The methods have been applied on EuroTrough collectors, cross-checked and compared. This paper summarizes results in collector shape measurement, flux-measurement, ray-tracing, and thermal performance analysis for parabolic troughs. It is shown that the measurement methods and the parameter analysis give consistent results. The interpretation of the results and their annual evaluation give hints on identified relevant improvement potentials for the following generation of solar power plant collectors.
