Have you ever thought of making visible things invisible, just like the Harry Potter? Have you ever thought how does one supersede backgrounds and add effects in a movie? The cloak was magical and invisible in Harry Potter, the movie. As we know there is no magic and no invisible cloak which exists in the world. It’s all about the graphics tricks. The concept of an invisibility cloak is a mixture of science, fantasy, and the collective imagination. This paper helps to create one’s own ‘Invisibility Cloak’.It will make use of Python and OpenCV module specifically targeting Image Processing and Image Segmentation to create a false sense of invisibility in the frame. It will explore how an object of a specific color or texture can be manipulated using the OpenCV library of python. To achieve this, initially we’ll be capturing and storing the backdrop frame . Thereafter we’ll be identifying the red coloured fabric by making use of the above mentioned algorithms. Then we’ll segment out the red colored fabric by generating a mask and then finally , we’ll generate the final augmented(magical) output to create Invisibility cloak. These steps are discussed deeper in the paper

This research aimed to describe what the Deathly Hallows symbolized in J.K. Rowling’s “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”. This was a qualitative content analysis with hermeneutic approach. The primary data was from the novel of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The results of this research were the Deathly Hallows symbolized the thirst of the greatest power which could make the owner immortal, but for Harry Potter they symbolized a test, which tested his mission to defeat Voldemort. The Hallows themselves consisted of three objects which were the Elder Wand, the Resurrection Stone, and the Invisibility Cloak. Each of the Hallows also symbolized different things. The Elder Wand symbolized a wizard’s desire for power, the Resurrection Stone symbolized deep longing towards the loved one who had died, and the Invisibility Cloak symbolized protection.

The past 10 years have seen remarkable developments in microwave, optical and acoustic methods that make use of the unique wave transmission properties of a class of ordered composites known as metamaterials. These materials differ from regular materials in that wave propagation is dramatically affected by the size and arrangement of their small-scale structure, and not just by the choice of constituent materials. Their characteristic feature sizes can be much less than, or on the same order as a wavelength. They have a variety of potential applications ranging from super-lenses, to enabling subwavelength imaging resolution, to the creation of a Harry Potter-like ‘invisibility cloak’. In this review we provide an overview of some of these achievements, much of which has been proposed and demonstrated with optical and electromagnetic waves. However, more recently these ideas have been extended to acoustic waves, offering the opportunity of controlling ultrasound wave propagation in a unique manner.

Joanne K. Rowling's teenage wizard has enchanted readers all over the globe and Harry Potter can truly be called an international hero. However, as I will argue, he is also very much an English national hero, complying with the national auto-image of the English gentleman as well as with the idea of Christian masculinity, another English auto-image holding that outdoor activity is more character-building than book learning. I will also show that the series can be read as a national heroic epic in two respects. First, Harry Potter, alias Robin Hood, has to fight the Norman yoke, an English myth haunting the nation since the Norman invasion in 1066. The series displays as a national model an apparently paternalistic Anglo-Saxon feudal society marked by tolerance and liberty as opposed to foreign rule. Second, by establishing parallels to events which took place in Nazi Germany, the series takes up the idea of fighting it, which is a popular topos in British (children's) literature which serves to reinforce a positive self-image.
