Remote laboratories are becoming increasingly popular in academic arena due to availability of web-based technologies and infrastructure. Remote Labs are equipped with real instruments, where experiments are performed by controlling the instruments and observing the real data from a distant location through computer networks. They provide for student centric laboratory experience as students can perform experiments at their own convenience and requirements. Further, Remote Labs reduce management of work involved in running conventional laboratories. This paper describes design and implementation of such an experimental setup for performing characterization experiments on Transducers in general and Acceleration and Speed Transducers in particular from a remote location. The experiment can be made accessible to anyone over a TCP/IP network with a standard Web Browser, relevant plugin, and permission. This paper demonstrates that traditional experiments on sensors and transducers can be successfully made available online to both on-campus and off-campus students at their own schedule and convenience.

Remote laboratories are important in education because they provide access to equipment that some institutions cannot afford to purchase or maintain, reduce the need for dedicated physical space for equipment and personnel to staff laboratories. But more than just fill the absence of real physical laboratories; remote laboratories can improve the users experience through the use of adaptive and specific. An important element in supporting shared access is coordinating the scheduling of the laboratory usage. Optimized scheduling can significantly decrease access waiting times and improve the utilization level of remote laboratories resources, with associated reductions in per-use costs.

The user management systems that exist so far are limited, and not compatible with all remote lab interface development software. For that, we worked on the development of a new user management system for remote laboratories.

This paper proposes a model and set of diagrams that define the new reservation system and a new Queuing for remote laboratories for educational purposes.

The area of web-based CAD system has grown since the mid-1990s. This paper introduces a new web-based CAD system for fabric appearance. The system uses the Browser/Server structure, and the designer can employ this system installed on the server to build a 3D model of fabric appearance through the Web browser. The basic architecture is discussed in this paper. Some key technologies, such as graphics display, texture mapping and the data exchange, are also investigated. In the last, some future research directions are presented.

Due to the sudden and explosive increase in web technologies, huge quantity of user generated content is available online. The experiences of people and their opinions play an important role in the decision making process. Although facts provide the ease of searching information on a topic but retrieving opinions is still a crucial task. Many studies on opinion mining have to be undertaken efficiently in order to extract constructive opinionated information from these reviews. The present work focuses on the design and implementation of an Opinion Crawler which downloads the opinions from various sites thereby, ignoring rest of the web. Besides, it also detects web pages which frequently undergo updation by calculating the timestamp for its revisit in order to extract relevant opinions. The performance of the Opinion Crawler is justified by taking real data sets that prove to be much more accurate in terms of precision and recall quality attributes.
